This should have been found while testing the demo, pretty sad that it wasnt TBH

Then reinstall the particular PhysX that ME-2 expects, and included on the DVD.  I can't offer any first-hand advice to users of digitally downloaded bits.

Just uninstalling the demo may not be enough. You may need to delete the newer PhysX registries using regedit. I had to, anyway.
