This is probably a very premature question but it pays to be prepared. lol

Does anyone know at what point in ME2 does the imports save file for ME3 get created? I basically want to know if I continue the game AFTER the suicide run, and start and consumate one of the romances in the post-finale, will it count against me in 3? I want my carrythrough paragon Shep to be single but I wanted to get the paramour achievement...

Does anyone know the answer to this? I want to know because you can leave so much of the game content until after the suicide mission (including all the romances) that if the save file is created right before the credits roll, I don't see how much of what happens in ME2 can carry over to ME3. If I have to do everything important before the suicide mission unless it won't count I'd like to know that...

The way I understand it, there is no "separate save" like in ME. When you import to ME3, or replay ME2 with the same character, you just pick a normal ME2 save and whatever you've done is carried over.

Hmm, so I need to keep my own save right after the credits so I don't pollute my clean run with any crazy stuff I might try just for the heck of it (like "romancing all three LIs in rapid secession, lol)...

Save the game before you get paramour, load once you've gotten it.

as devs have said. They have records and can see every save made... even knowing who had a fling with kelly ( which casts some shadows now on the idea that she was a safe work around the cheating on a ME1 LI )



so that said, I would really suggest making a second save file to try the crazy stuff...just to be safe.

you load the actual save file. there is no hidden "clear data" like in ME1. all the data is in each individual save file.
