Has anyone had the urge to replay the old Infinity Engine games since they bought dragon Age?
I'm not saying Dragon Age is a bad game (It's awesome!). But playing it brings back the old memories of Baldur's Gate, and how much I truely enjoyed them as one of the greatest RPG collections ever made.
So, here I am.. installing the ENTIRE "Forgotten Realm" Infinity Engine collection with absolute full intention of playing ALL of them ALL at once.. From BG1 into 2, then Icewind Dale 1, into 2.
I may even pop in Planescale Torment and play that one when I'm done with the Forgotten Realms.
I love these games, they really are some of the greatest games of all time. IF they still made Infinity Engine games today (even with the dated graphics) I would still be buying them.
*Installing BG1, BG2, Icewind Dale 1, 2, and all expansions*

Why dont you install the BiG Baldurs Gate 1+2 mod combination?
its about 20 GB huge (just like DragonAge ^^) and has many interesting modifications
and extras in it.

I was considering it, but I'm one of those "Play it how it was meant to be played" guys. I actually looked into it while I was reinstalling BG1 and 2. But, I don't want any mods past playing BG1 in BG2's resolution since that doesn't affect the mechanics of the game, just the appearance.
But the BGTutu and BGTrilogy mods both impact the game mechanics in BG1 to match BG2's.. and I would rather play them the way they were meant to be played (Gameplay mechanics wise)
But, if you know a mod that will allow me to play BG1 with BG2's resolution options without changing the game mechanics, you'd be my hero!
I've also never actually used BGT or tutu, so if there's a switch/setting to disable the gameplay tweaks, that would be fine too

Well, I had just recently finished playing Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale and Icewind Dale II... so no, not right away. I just finished them all again. Although I am playing Icewind Dale through again on Heart of Fury out of curiousity.
I've been playing Planescape Torment on and off for quite a while, and I expect I'll continue to. Hopefully I'll actually make some more progress soon.
I've never used any mods either. I tend not to go in for mods.

What about the BG2 ascension mod? it is a compilation of changes, which the bioware guys hadnt the time to implement. Its "unofficial" official mod.
The same goes for the "Unfinished Business" mods for BG1 and BG 2.
Did you know, that Minsc looses Boo in BG2 and you have quest to find him??
No, because they had no time to get it done.
BG1Tutu is the engine changing mod i know for that( www.pocketplane.net )
There was another one, but i dont remember the name...
