ME2 Insanity

The most important parts are the class of your character, the loyalty bonus talent, and your teammates. I am doing a ME1 import play, not a NG+.
So far Adept and Infiltrator seem to be pretty... ineffective. Sentinel is quite boring, and the bonus armor seems to be overrated as you don't deal enough damage yourself. Vanguard is suicide, and apparently Engineer is too situational. I could be wrong, however, so what are your thoughts?

I played through first with a Sentinel. Playing through on my second now with a Soldier and I feel I have my hands tied because I have to have Miranda with me anywhere I go.

As for Sentinel, what builds do you recommend? Teammates?

Well NG+ kills your paragon and renegade points, and the +25% XP Bonus is available to every character after you beat the game once.

Overload / Warp are essential and Tech Armor really makes things easier down the road. I only took Throw to Rank 2 and only really used it on Husks. Didn't even bother with Cryo Blast.
As for a bonus power I took Warp Ammo.
As for teammates I took Grunt / Garrus for most missions. For the end I took Miranda for the extra Warp.
