Soldier - Commando or Shock Trooper?

I picked shock trooper,noticeing the bonus health,its what i picked on the first game also,id rather have more health and just buy weapon upgrade for the extra damage.

i think you get extra paragon and renegade points if you take the shock trooper

i went shock trooper, the extra health is noticeable.

I went commando. There are far too many ways within the game to boost your health. Far too few to boost your damage without investing a massive amount of ability points.
Long gone are the days of boosting your damage resistance and completely ignoring using cover. Even with Hardened Adrenaline + Barrier, you can't take heavy fire for long without going critical. More importantly, ammo is a concern now so the easier and quicker you take down enemies, the less ammo you have to worry about using.
You don't really need the Paragon/Renegade boost since you can hit max in either without Shock Trooper or Commando.
