like he said just a place holder but still pretty neat. If they ever show the face it will be way more detailed.

I find it utterly retarded that for both games, people moved the camera around to get under the mask texture and had the nerve to call it "Tali unmasked." When, or if Tali is ever unmasked by BioWare's developers in a cutscene, that is when she is unmasked.

I wonder how many fans Tali will lose once she is unmasked. She will probably be critisized for being too human-looking, or not good-looking enough. That should be fun.

I highly doubt that's Tali. The first time you meet her in the first one you can actually SEE her eyes glowing white behind the visor. No joke, look at her face, and you see two white glowing dots slanted like a snake or somethin.

Placeholder is placeholder.

Well, placeholder probably isn't the right word. It is the actual texture and model that you see through the mask, but the mask hides the very low quality texture. The model isn't as detailed as other faces, certainly, but it is likely indicative of the general look the designers were going for. Either way, I got bored and took this screenshot:
