Your Most Emotional moment in ME2 (spoilers)

her children a frantic final message as the geth break through the door
and gun her down while it's still recording. Pushed me into a melee
and shotgun-filled righteous rampage against every geth in the rest of
that mission. If only Shepard could do a warcry each time he bashed a
shotgun into a geth faceplate....
Others
-Shepard panicking when his suit starts depressurizing
-Reuniting with Joker and revealing the SR2 Normandy
-Joining up with Garrus, listening to the badass things he's been doing, and finally him getting shot up by the merc gunship but living through it
-Sharing a brandy and reminiscing with Dr. Chakwas
-Biting the bullet and ignoring the trapped workers during Zaaed's revenge mission
-Samara going through with killing her daughter
-Samara turning Shepard down, even though she wishes she didn't have to
-Pretty much anything to do with Tali, especially comforting her after finding her father dead
-Despite not having much sympathy for Jack, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her during her loyalty mission-Mordin dealing with the necessity of the genophage during his loyalty mission
-Thane apologizing to his son, and later learning how he met his wife and the dramatic impact she had on him
-Seeing the screaming Kelly get dragged by Collectors into the elevator
-The engagement on the way to the Collector station, seeing the upgraded Normandy tear the hell out of everything in its way
-Picking who to do what during the suicide mission
-Annihilating the Collector station
-Shepard paying his respects to Garrus' coffin and the transition to the surviving crew
-Telling TIM to suck it
On the other hand, I was particularly annoyed by
-Aside from a "hello kiss," Liara doesn't acknowledge your relationship at all
-Miranda's bright idea to pack up your entire team in a shuttle and fly away. During the part with Joker I was actually under the impression that everyone minus Shepard, Miranda, Mordin, and Jacob was still on board, and was trying to figure out how such a small assault force was not getting their asses handed to them by the likes of Samara, Garrus, Grunt, etc.
-Garrus dieing while closing the door. Got too much of a "wtf" moment for it to have any impact.

Well you don't shoot him jacob gives him a gun, and let's him shoot himself instead of having the hunters get him. Ya he still becomes loyal though.stillnotking wrote...

Just wondering. In Jacob's loyalty mission if you go the paragon route does he still hand his dad a pistol to kill himself? I thought that was fairly intense.
Paragon ending: have the Alliance pick him up for trial
"Neutral" ending: Leave him on the planet
Renegade ending: shoot him
I believe all of them count as successful endings and cause Jacob to be loyal. Some loyalty missions can be completed but without making the squadmate loyal (e.g. saving the refinery workers and letting Santiago get away in Zaeed's loyalty mission).

The other one is one of the side quests where you help a Quarian in the citadel that's being accused of being a pick pocket and the shock in her voice when you know of the pilgrimage.

1) Shepard's suit depressurizing in space in the Prologue. I knew she wasn't going to die, but still sad because she thought she was going to die.
2) After I romanced Thane I went to talk to him again, and I really liked the conversation that Shepard and Thane had. They were holding hands and Shepard says something like "After being dead for two years, every moment feels irreplaceable now," and Thane replied "I've been dead for ten, I know what you mean" or something like that.
3) Garrus getting taken by the swarm. GARRUS!!!
4) Shepard falling to her death

Entering Afterlife the first time really showed it was going to be a very special game. Not in the emotional sense, but that's what really drew me in, starting out, and it still continues to give me that vibe.im wonder what was everyone else favorite/most emotional scene
On the more emotional side, the ending didn't fail (the crew survived, team survived variety); and Joker's playable segment felt really satisfying. I really appreciate they gave Mr. Moreau a bigger role this go-around.
Shepard getting spaced was obviously pretty intense, but that part had been spoiled in ME2 previews so thoroughly it didn't really hit home. The frantic breathing is a really nice touch, though.
The most emotionally intense moment of my first playthrough, however, was the Normandy SR2 reveal. It is very well-executed scifi fan service, for sure.

The single most potent moment was Kaidan walking out, pausing, hugging Shepard... and then big emotional backhand. I wasn't just angry as "Shepard," I myself was pissed at him. I played until 9 a.m. trying to find out what happened to him and he got my hopes up then slammed them to the ground. It does seem illogical that he expects some kind of contact while you're dead, but it's realistic because emotional people aren't logical when they fight. I can see that now. But at the time, it would've been nice to have a renegade interrupt handy. lol Or at least convo options to fight back rather than just take it. It's not a fight with a girl if she can't put words in your mouth. "You're mad Cerberus saved me? You wish I was dead??"
It was a really strong emotion of betrayal and anger. Garrus and Tali from before can trust your judgment, but the one person who supposedly loved you, and maybe knew you best, refuses to. It literally flung me into the arms of another. Would have been nice for FemSheps to have a character to use, rather than develop a new love interest with.
Aside from that:
--Opening scene (even though I'd seen it before)
--Finding this new dark Garrus
--Seeing Joker again and the new Normandy
--Every time I met anyone from ME1 and the repercussions of my actions there
--Thane's loyalty mission
--The collectors abducting the crew and the empty feeling on the ship afterwards. I didn't realize how much I'd miss them all and it felt like my fault. I had not idea how much Dr. Chakwas meant to me..
--Held my breath the entire suicide mission
--Felt appalled when TIM asks you to keep the station. I felt like Jack concerning her cell--it needed to burn. Didn't even care about any usefulness it could provide in ME3.
--The ending with the crew and the reapers looming on the edge of the galaxy.

Holy crap, I totally didn't notice that, I always thought the collectors were basically Prothean husks. Glad to know they were strong enough to maintain their will.

When Garrus got shot, he was one of my favorite characters from the first one and even though i knew he would make it there was still some doubt.
When Ashley yells at you on Horizon for working for Cerberus. Although i felt better when she sent me the email afterward.
Getting your new ship.
This isn't really an emotional or intense part but it's one of my favorite parts, when everyone keeps talking to you about you dying. Especially when you ask Garrus about the chances of survival and he says, "Well last time the collectors killed you all they did was make you angry." I thought that was a great addition on BioWares part to add dialogue in to remind you that you had died.
And lots of others. This game just has so many intense and memorable moments in it. Just like the first one.

Despite all of the haters and nay-sayers that are posting around here, I think if Bioware has been able to actually touch this many people on an emotional level, to create an actual emotional attachment to their characters, they deserve some serious congratulations. Well done Bioware, you've done what, in my opinion, few (or perhaps no) other game producers have achieved before. Keep up the good work, and keep the content coming!
Agreed whole-heartedly. Well done Sirs, and Madams. Well done indeed.

Cant believe nobody said Mordins loyalty misson when he does his speech at the dead female korgan. Very well acted, you can feel the internal conflict in him with logic vs spirituality.
This. Michael Beattie deserves a damned oscar for his performance as Mordin.

After seeing Ash who was the LI for my ME1 Shepard. Basically the feeling I got from her, and my Shepard was that they were done and it was time to move on. Even with the Email it still felt like they we were two different people than before. So my Shepard is now in a relationship with Miranda.

- Telling The Illusive Man to go f*** himself at the ending.
- Telling him to go f*** himself again after you complete the mission.
If only we got to meet in person, and there was a renegade interrupt to punch him in the face... (or would it be paragon?)

-Garrus during his loyalty mission

the intro sequence during the attack... that entire sequence was intense, from ash running up to you through to getting spaced, got me choked up.
tali's loyalty mission and romance option. Tali was one of my favourite characters in ME1, and I guess I have a soft spot for quarians with the similarities in my life experience. (for some extra fun, do it with legion in your team "this unit is not availiable for study!" his nervousness when you're talking to admiral xen is pretty cool.)
Miranda's loyalty mission at the end with her sister, is so well acted and animated it also got me choked up.
Jack's loyalty mission just got me so mad, first chance I get in ME3, the Illusive Man is getting a Widow round through his skull. Or maybe I'll hand him over to Jack and let her play with him (seriously Bioware Writer guys, that needs to be an option).

Wow, when I first saw this I thought it was frantically trying to stop the destruction somehow.
This is another emotional moment then.

And for me, one of the most emotional aspects was the whole Tali relationship
(sorry again for the repost from another thread!)
"I have always found "interactive" love affairs in games to be universally cringe-worthy and ridiculous.
Tali changes all of this.
Pursuing the Tali romance offers up a touching, original and well acted series of scenes between the two of you, the final love-scene is subtle and underplayed and I approve of Bioware's decision to leave Tali's face a mystery for now.
Tali was my favourite team-mate from the original and thus the relationship felt like a natural evolution of a friendship between two people, rather than a tacked on after-thought.
I thought her shyness was well acted and played in stark contrast to the usually aggressive sexual self-confidence often exhibited by female characters in games.
Finally, the fact that I felt a genuine affection for a video game character whose face I had never seen and whose circumstances lead to a rather original sexual tension through our inability to actually touch due to her suit, was rather remarkable.
Good stuff Bioware - though you had better not do anything terrible to her in the 3rd game - I would be gutted!"
I totally agree! In fact, it makes me incredibly happy that Tali was not a love interest in the first game. Her character suits the friends-becoming-lovers thing so much better, and it made the whole relationship seem much more poignant.
I also liked her typical level-headedness. Yes she was a bit shy, but she still spoke her feelings and as soon as Shepard returned them she started looking for ways to make it work. She's a sensible lass.

Strangely, another scene that actually got to me was the Asari by the space maps who broke down crying after the full impact of her daughters' deaths hit her. She just went from cold and icy to broken and vulnerable and that left a lasting impact for me.

To put things in perspective, before I got hte game, I made it a personal goal. Everyone comes home. If your on my team, your going back to your lives, because dammit, I'm not letting anyone fall. I guess you can tell by this that my goal didn't go so well.
Rundown of the Final Mission. Miranda leads Team 2, Legion is tech specialist. Everyone lives. We get there fast enough to save my entire crew. Mordin takes them back to the ship. No casualties. Jack is my biotic specialist, Miranda leads the 2nd team again. Still, everyone is safe. I beat the final boss. I let out a huge sigh of relief, and I'm bordering on jumping around because I'm so extatic. I had done it! My goal was completed. Joker is contacting me, and says he picked up all the survivers and... and..
And there she is.
Tali'Zorah vas Normandy. My favorite character. Keeled over. Dead.
I went from extatic, to laying back on my couch looking at the ceiling. I don't think I even watched any of the closing video stuff. I sure as hell didn't remember it. I had failed. Not only had I failed, but.. Tali? Why ****ing Tali! Of all the characters in the game, it's Tali who dies? Who hates me!?
I didn't cry.. until in the aftermath, I was talking to people on the ship. I go down to talk to the Tech Twins and.... and there's this empty space were Tali used to stand. I cried for about 30 seconds. Then I got pissed. I restarted the mission. This time I kept Tali by my side the entire time. If she was going to die this time, it would have to be through me. And, low and behold, Tali lives. Everyone lives. And it was like a huge weight was lifted of me. But man, as a diehard Tali fan, it's hard to describe how I reacted to that scene.
