 Anybody else think there should be the option to so thoroughly mess up over the course of the trilogy that in the end the Reapers are victorious?

Lets say that you kill the Rachni Queen and Wrex in ME1 (losing Rachni and Krogan allies for the final confrontation), destroy the Geth Heretics and Collector Base (weakening the Geth and preventing Cerberus from creating a Reaper inspired human fleet) in ME2 and encourage a war between the weakened Geth and the Quarians in ME3 (reducing the number of ships available to fight the Reapers) in addition to killing of all possible companions. 

If ME2 lets you lead all your companions (and yourself) to your doom, why not have ME3 permit players inadvertently wipe out civilization? This wouldn't be something you could accidentally trigger through one dialog option but only through a continuous disregard for common sense and the greater good.

I'd be pretty disappointed if you couldn't have the Reapers win. Dammit, if you screw up that badly, you deserve your galaxy destroyed.

Yes but it should be only that, an OPTION. If the canon ending is a tragedy I will be sorely disappointed and dismayed. Please give us the CHANCE to get everyone out safely, even if it's hard. Shepard must have a future.

Yes but it should be only that, an OPTION. If the canon ending is a tragedy I will be sorely disappointed and dismayed. Please give us the CHANCE to get everyone out safely, even if it's hard. Shepard must have a future.

 Well, given the tone of the commercials and trailers, I'm thinking canon ME2 would half several of the squadmates dead. I don't mind if the canon is more tragic, so long as we can override it and achieve greater outcomes through hard, paragon work.

It's not like you need to screw up that badly to lose to reapers. Even if you know they're coming, they're pretty much cybernetic gods. Realistically, it shouldn't be possible to defeat an entire army of them, given that the Normandy SR2's currently the only ship with the technology to harm a shielded reaper and resist its attacks.

I like this idea, me being paragon and letting Wrex live/Rachni live/Geth overwritten I think i'd be alright.

Well, when you give TIM the finger, you pretty much take over Cerberus. You've still got that, at least.

I certainly don't want it as the official, canon ending but it would certainly be fun to watch all of Shepard's poor choices bite him/her in the ass if you wanted to. Just like sending the wrong person to do a certain job in the Collector Base (thereby killing them), only more genocidal and on a galactic scale.

I would say in ME3, shepard was somehow captured by the reapers and then they do stuff on him and turn him into one of them and use shepard to wipe out the whole galaxy's civilization as they would did it every 50000 years cycle.

Well, there were likely Prothean heroes back in the day and look where they ended up. They kind of survived, for an unknown length of time on Ilos. Maybe that's the best we can hope for.

I doubt the Normandy SR-2's crew is all of Cerberus.

I let Wrex live, let Rachni live, saved citadel council , overwrite Geth Heretics to strength geth forces, told the Quarians not to go to war with geth, and i destroyed the collector base because the illusive man wanted (spoiler) to use the tech to create his own reaper so he could fight reaper and rest of the galaxy for human dominance. So here are my forces for the all out war.

Rachni army
Krogan army
Geth army
Quarians

In Mass effect 3 we should be able to recruit the remaining remaining races before all out war.
