Althouth there is no official press release by BioWare/EA which confirms the development of Dragon Age 2, we all know by now that it is in the makings for quite some time now.

BioWare titles were mostly about great stories, twists and turns and decisions that may impact the world you are playing in. Dragon Age: Origins proves that once more. So it’s no big surprise that Greg Zeschuk, Vice-President at BioWare, goes not much into detail about these instruments to measure a game’s quality, but confirms the polishing of the graphic engine for Dragon Age 2.

I certainly hope not.

If it is then I won't be able to pick it up.

On other news, we will see more Halo in the future, a WoW expansion is on the works, and Uncharted 3 is bound to happen

Sick, better graphics no matter how big the upgrade would make Dragon Age ten times better. I have high hopes for the sequel

Heh yeah I know, by you guys I meant Bioware. Greg needs to get David, Sheryl, Mary, Ferret, or one of the other writers to do his lines because, ouch.

I'm not so obsessed with the Graphics, as long as the characters look good.

What I absolutely hate though is having a loading screen every 5 minutes. Runeforging in Virgils Keep was the worst.

I realize this is mostly a console limitation (****ing consoles limiting video-game developments since 2003), but I would really appreciate if BioWare did everything in their power to reduce the amount of loading needed.

From what I've seen for DA2, I worry that they are going to go the ME2 route and try to "mainstream" it too much. Already there's no choice in race or name,(not a big deal in itself, but could be the start of it being mainstreamed) you have to play a human named Hawke, but it's still early so we'll have to wait and see.

The human part is a little disappointing for me. Human was the last character I used in DA:O. The name thing, not at all. Except they chose one that lends itself to a lot of creative uses. Mike, right. ::sigh::

In DA:O you played "pick your first name" Tabris, Mahariel, Aeducan, Brosca, Amell, or Cousland. So why should it be different in DA2? There are many of the other possible changes that bother me a lot more. With the emphasis on "teh cinematics" and the "Fight like a SPARTAN" I'm generalizing a DA/ME2/Halo mix at this point. Not the old-school style DA:O that I bought specifically because it was old-school style.

Yeah, I worry that it will be dumbed down in terms of rpg aspects like ME2 was, it still might be a good game but I worry that it will follow the same trend. I miss good rpgs, games that were actually hard that took planning on building your characters, DA:O was good in some ways like that, but was much to easy on nightmare

Ditto.

Actually, everything i'm hearing from DA2 sounds disappointing. The lack of character choice, the fact we can't import our previous character and continue like in ME2(i wanted to find out where Morrigan went, and what became of my "relationship" with Leliana, etc, etc,). Is all that just gone and forgotten now?

Not a huge deal, but is this just going to be a game completely separate from all the events that occured in DA:O?

The visuals certainly looks like a pile of steaming hot something alright.
