You basically choose her instead of Samara at the end of Samara's quest. She then disguises herself as Samara when in front of the crew, but acts completely different when you visit her in her room on the Normandy. It was a pretty spectacular game changer really, since even TIM is fooled.

She does everything Samara does, but instead of the 'Reave' power, she gets a 'Dominate' power that like AI hacking for organics.

In her ship conversations she hints that you might be the one person strong enough to survive mating with her.

yea you dont survive it. shes just feeding you BS so she can take your life. samara even tells you that any person that "mates" with her dies. and the whole renegade thing is a lie since you get at least 15 pts in paragon before you even get to samara. so .........keep it in your pants around her lol

She's an Ardat-Yakshi. No matter how tough or willful you are, sexing Morinth is invariably fatal. I didn't know she could join you instead of Samara, though. That's pretty badass.

The option is right there at the bottom "Kill Morinth" and "Kill Samara". Or did you not do her loyalty quest yet?

If your paragon or renegade scores aren't high enough, you do not have the option of getting Morinth and it will automatically kill Morinth.

I don't know why the clothes didn't come off first. Shepard didn't look the least bit in ecstasy. She's all talk. The fight scene between her and Samara was EPIC though.

Sure, lots of ways.  Cut the power to the circuit ahead of time or wear an insulating glove over your wet finger for example.  Not that I want them to actually do that to Morinth.  I think the character is great the way she is.

Those aren't cures - those are protective measures. If you stick your finger in a light socket, you will be electrocuted. You mind-meld with Morinth you will be overloaded. She can't help it, she can't cut back the juice, she has no circuit breaker to trip to save you just in time, unless Miranda/Jack/Jacob/Mordin comes in and shoots her before you are brain jelly.

They are ways of sticking your finger in a light socket without getting electrocuted.  My point is that it is possible and no, every time you stick your finger in a light socket you will not be electrocuted because I've put my fingers in many light sockets without ever once being electrocuted.  Doesn't matter if she can't control it herself.  Neither can the light socket.  Doesn't mean its impossible for someone to find a way to "trip the circuit breaker" or "wear a glove" ahead of time.  Such as some sort of medical procedure, genetic therapy, or shielding device.

All we know about her condition is that its an extremely rare genetic mutation and currently there is no cure.  Saying its impossible to cure is just plain stupid.  If the writers decide they want her back and they want her to be cured she will be.  Simple as that.  Do I want that to happen?  No.  Do I expect that to happen? No.  Doesn't mean it can't happen.  Anything can happen in a science fiction story.
