I'm curious.  I never saw any dialogue options to talk about the relationship on Ilium.  Is it possible to have the 'break up' talk at all?  I have seen a few posts about a conversation, but never could I find specific details.

No, you can't.

But it doesn't seem necessary, since Liara clearly isn't interested in the relationship to begin with. /grumble

Well, she's the one who gave your corpse to Cerberus because "she couldn't let you go," I'm pretty sure she is interested but no you can't dump her. You can tell her that you are angry for what she did though

That's kind of the vibe I got, yes. I suppose these things could have reprecussions in ME3? It just seems odd. And I was wary of the whole Cheater Tracking achievement/whatever BioWare was talking about the last few months before release. Blah.

From what I hear she says that to Shepard regardless of whether or not you romance her, so the only thing unique to the romance seems to be that ambiguous "kiss" they share when Shep walks in, which is completely forgotten immediately afterwards.

You know, she is cold, but then again doesn't she also say she's being spied on?

Very limited dialogue with Liara. If you romanced her in ME1 then you kiss her upon greeting her, but nothing else is said of your previous relationship.

Touche. Either way, she does care for Shepard.

C'mon, it was 100% sure that it would be like this with ME1 LIs.
"Oh, Shepard, I missed you. Now, let's talk about business."
I'm disappointed, though.

But anyway, you can't dump her, yet I think you can cheat on her. It's not like she would care, seeing how she seems now as cold as a stone wall.

Did not do it, had Shepard watching her Liara pic - when I suppose, if I had chosen a new LI, he (for there's no she) would have come.

I had a pretty cold talk with her as well all about her new "Job" and later on Shepard was sitting in room alone looking at her picture(couldn't get any romance going on my first play through).

I was hoping for a break up speech. I still stand by my comment of her raping me in the first game. I didn't want to romance anyone, but somehow me being nice to her gave her the wrong impression. When she confronted me I felt guilty and let it happen. I would like to think Shepard tried to say no last minute, but when she went all black eyed on Shep. she tricked her.

I didn't care too much for Liara, so when I meet up with her in Illium, I was happy to have a reason to cheat on her. Besides she obviously handed my corpse to the enemy so Kaidan shouldn't have gotten on my case in Horizon. Man, I wanted to put a bulet through his head.

I was none to happy with the way she was conducting herself on Ilium, even though I do know her reasoning now. Nonetheless, I left her for Tali (who I would have picked in the first game anyway had she been an option).

theres no breakup speech, but all you have to do is reach a certain point with another member and liara's photo frame in your room is put face down. pretty much answers it all.

probably mass effect 3, I doubt they'll just let liara's character go to waste...I mean..they did write a comic + make her a boss on illium ? Plus isn't she the "Canon" love interest for Sheperd?

Anyways, even if it's not, you can always just go find whatever tail in ME3.

Liara is hunting the shadow broker, and remembered you for while you were alive, but like all Asari they accept life is short and move on but never forgetting. Two years is a long time even for an Asari, and the lengths she went to get you back from the collectors is amazing.

I played as a female Vanguard in ME1 and imported her so it was the choice between Kaidan and Liara I have to say that I dont like Kaidan so he will always die no matter what sex I will play as. So there really isn't a choice for Ezri(my female Vanguard) other than that I liked the Liara Character in the first game, she was a scientist now she sold out. I want a divorce she can keep the kid. lol
