Urm, unfortunately this isn't quite true.  The CC will tell you whether you can *start* the game, but rendering one stationary character is no indication of how your PC will handle a crowd of creatures all pathing, firing off effects, and running AI at the same time.

Eventually both. I've pre-ordered it for 360 because I want to play it on my couch with my huge TV the first time. After that, I'll probably buy the PC version so I can see what crazy mods people make.

PC.  I own an Xbox 360 which I got just to play Mass Effect.  I made it through a small part of ME, and quit playing it.  I need to sell it, because I have never played it since.

I'm a mouse and keyboard user at heart, and my system is a lot more powerful than an Xbox 360 ever dreamed of being.  I think my laptop is more powerful than the Xbox 360.

... I don't make Special Edition type of money, sadly.  Same reason why I have a Zune instead of an iPod, a Core 2 Duo instead of a Core 2 Quad, a (apparently crashed) 360 Arcade instead of a 360 Elite, and drink Chek Cola instead of Pepsi.

I am going to miss all the mods too. NWN2 mods where 10x better then the original expansions.

PC! And according to the latest preview a machine with a low end quad-core and an 8800 GT was maxing out the game at 1080p with 8x anti-aliasing, so my rig will have no issues.

I'll be crawling along with my ageing rig. I would never pass up the PC version of a mod friendly game. I did it with Oblivion and it didn't take long for me to thoroughly regret that.

edit: Or maybe not crawling if the game does run as good as they say!

Yeah, that was for the first 10 hours though.  I suspect there will be rather more...  Elaborate bits later on.

Still good news however.
