No to MMO, but it would be a blast to be able to use a LAN for up to four players. Best of both worlds IMHO.
That would be my take, a true mmo isn't needed, but if a sequel supported coop somehow I couldn't complain.

But a coop mode would be great.

You'd end up with characters named like my username here (or worse, things like XX_SexxyKitten05_XX), and characterization and plot would suffer... yeah, I'd say Dragon Age would be ruined by making it a full MMO. One would assume you'd want a DA MMO to encourage roleplaying, but you'd get the same netspeaking typists begging for handouts as always--and rather than having a good flow of different quests and quest types, you'd be level grinding all the time. Level 25? No, try level 50, with too few quests between levels 15-40 to get leveled up with. Thus the level-grinding and loot-farming.
Example of what you'd see (based on the majority of MMOs I've ever been on):
can u giv me 200 gp plz
lol y u need 200 gp? go kill darkspnw
(surprisingly enough, trying to actually roleplay, but the player's character is one of about 500 Cousland "last of their line" characters game-wide) I am off to the Korkari Wilds to slay the dreaded Witch of the Wilds!
u dont hav 2 do that i killed her last week
lolol ur lvl 30, y r u killin lvl 20 mobs?
Please, please don't inflict that on DA. Don't inflict the mental image on me. It's simply too painful. I know there are people who'd disagree, of course, but frankly if DA has an MMO sequel, I'll be sitting that one out--and probably the rest of them, because it's quite true that once a game becomes an MMO, the original series dies. Look at Warcraft and Phantasy Star if you are in need of examples.
Now, a multiplayer mode that allows you to invite a few of your friends in on a campaign, or to simply roleplay with them, would be a different matter. I'd welcome that.
