I'm just wondering, in any situation where negotiation is required, do the charm and intimidate options have equal requirements to use? Or are there choices that might require more paragon than renegade or vice/versa to get through?

I ask because during  Tali and Legion's confrontation, my renegade score was nearly double my paragon score but I only had the option to use charm. The intimidation option was grayed out.

I assumed it's a bug, but some clarification would be nice.

i don't think the requirements are equal because I was only able to use charm with Legion and Tali despite the fact that my renegade was higher
