I killed him, so now "whatever information he had died with him"... And I'm still lost in that forest that keeps blocking my way. HELP?

If you got the acorn from him give it to the rhyming tree guy and he will give you a branch. use that to get past the forst block.

I accidently traded the scarf from warewolf lady to him.. is there anyway to get it back?

No sadly, I killed him and he didn't drop any of the special trades. What were the 3 items he would accept though? The amulet, the book and ----?

the last one was scarf for me and instead of amulet it was a ring.

If you give it to him, you say something along the lines of "I found this ring somewhere in the forest" or something, so it's probably one you found in the area, though I could also imagine it being some random copper ring I had in my inventory at the time...

Maybe it's the reward you get for solving the romance mini-quest of the two young elves... I don't remember, it wasn't an item I missed later, at least...
