how long after aquiring the reaper iff does the crew get abducted?

What we need is someone who has the time to experiment and give us a definite answer. It looks like you're supposed to have enough time to do Legion's loyalty mission.

If you activate legion, it will let you do 1 mission before they get abducted.



If you don't, or you give him to cerberus, then it will happen right away.

I've experimented a bit.



The first time I didn't activate Legion and it went into the abduction sequence immediately after the IFF mission.



The second time I activated Legion, then did 2 N7 missions. The abduction triggered as I selected to land on Legion's personal quest.



The third time I activated Legion, did his quest immediately, and then the abduction triggered as soon as I got back from it.

As soon as it's installed they got abducted, unless you accept Legion's side quest - then you can do one side quest before the crew gets taken. If you want to save all the crew, you want that one side quest to be Legion and everybody else already prepared.

For me I was able to do Tali's side quest, legion's side quest and then it triggered when I was landing on the citadel.

I wonder if that bit is bugged. On my first play thru, I got Legion, did his mission, and the crew was immediately abducted. This time, I put off getting Tali cuz I thought it'd be fun to see the quarians reaction to a geth following me around. I got Legion, picked up Tali, did Legion's loyalty mission, and am now on my way to Tali's loyalty mission and still no abduction. Come to think of it, I don't think EDI has been updating me on the status of the IFF installation either.



Wonder if I should keep on playing and hope it triggers or try to reload... Sigh.

If you've got all loyalty and recruitment missions done then immediately, if not then it waits a bit of time.

The most I've ever managed was two side missions. I was running Jack's romance, just to see the dialogue, so I skipped a ton of loyalty missions and just pushed onto the IFF as soon as I could. I grabbed Legion, did his loyalty mission and an N7 side mission, and it fired as soon as I went to a 3rd.

Best thing to do to make sure everyone survives (if u want that) is save the Reaper IFF mission until you have done all the loyalty missions (except Legion of course because you cant).

It has been my experience that if you have completed all missions, you get to activate Legion and do his Loyalty mission before getting abduction. If you want to take Legion on Tali's Loyalty mission, you need to activate him, get his mission and then go to Tali's then Legion's mission.



I have been told that if you haven't done all the missions, then how long it takes will depend on what is in your Journal, but I have no proof, or experience to confirm.

the abduction sequence only comes about when u try to use the Omega 4 relay.

You can do as many missions as you want after getting the IFF... i think

For my last two runs it only triggers when i go to the omega 4 relay..... i dont remember it triggering by itself ever =/ i think my disc is bugged??

You have time for two missions or until you run out of loyalty missions, whichever is first.
If you still have loyalty missions left after the two you can open the galaxy map, but the scene triggers when you try to land somewhere.
