So I just installed the game, and went through the configuration screen that popped up. But when I go to play the game, it just won't play. All the other buttons on the launcher screen works just fine, just not the play button. Anyone else having the same problem, or had the same problem?

I have the exact same problem. I was playing the game perfectly fine on Vista Home until my machine's motherboard went out. I just purchased a new PC to replace the old one (the other one was 2 years old). The game installed fine, I updated with the latest patch to 1.01a. Everything installed fine like I said, but like you, all the buttons on the launcher work except the "Play" button.



I've checked firewall permissions for the program and I've turned off UAC. Any other thoughts?

Whats with the pleases and thank yous gorath? You know as well as I do that there is a special corner of hell reserved for imbeciles who can't even think for themselves and read the titles of the 4 stickies. When you google this problem it links to this page, but because you pedantic snobs didnt answer the question and instead did the typical tirade like a couple sexually frustrated librarians it doesnt help. When you were children  did you ever realize you were going to grow up to be these rule and etiquette slaves? Had you already developed a penchant for hall passes from an early age? You would make great mid level governmental bureaucrats. Maybe if you arent already, it might not be too late to make a career change. Thanks forum geeks of the world, you're making it all a worse place.
