All I see are complaints. I thought it was amazing. The only problems are the planet scanning and the credit nerf. And the infinate enemy respawns on some levels, but its a vast improvment over Mass Effect 1.

Yeah they changed the lore with the weapons, but its not that bad. And the Quarian ships all look about the same even though they supposedly come from a bunch of other races and cultures. And a handful of other minor nuicences but still its an amazing game.

Powers need re-balancing, the pace of the plot was TERRIBLE, being forced into missions at certain times was TERRIBLE, Female Romance options are terrible, Mineral scanning needs work (perhaps a hybrid system of ME1 and 2? I MISS EXPLORING.

Other than that? It's pretty good.

they made it more simplified and rpg elements/amount of variety in weapons/armor is a bit taken off from the first, besides customization.

imo I want the old me1 rpg feel back, but I am satisfied for me2 and I love the story, so epic, as always :) and never gets old.

imo a simple flood of good expansion and dlc will make everyone satisfied

I mostly liked the game. Except.

Adepts got over nerfed. We went from the nerf bat, to the nuke, to the goddamn asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. Please Bioware... tone it down a notch.

The very last boss/plot exposition. It just fell flat at that one point. That's it. Anything before and after is good.

Mineral Scanning puts me to sleep.

Not enough weapons for each class of weapon. The Heavy Pistol and SMG are in dire need of another gun to upgrade to. They aren't too bad, but they could be certainly stronger for how much cwertain classes have to depend upon them.

Well, you only went on two Quarian ships, so I don't think you can say they all look the same.

I frankly loved the new version. The story was stronger, beautiful dialogue and structure to the story... very strong and interesting characters... game was plenty lengthy, more structured (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) and the combat drastically improved.

I think people are forgetting that ME1 was not a traditional RPG either.. it was a hybrid. ME2 is also a hybrid, they just refined it a lot more.

Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate, Kotor... those are traditional RPGs.... people should not mistake ME as a traditional RPG and then complain about it... it was never intended to be that.. it was designed as a hybrid... this is purely obviously when you play ME1... I have no clue how people got the notion it was in the same RPG category as Dragon Age.

I hope ME3 sticks to how ME2 was made and does not revert to ME1 style... and this is coming from someone who has been a RPG gamer for 24 years... and I hate shooters.. I don't own a console and the last "shooter" I played was Rainbow Six Vegas some many years ago. Yet ME2 delivers a shooter style that appeals to me as a shooter-casual player.

ME2 has a great feel... but it's the story and characters that make me love the game so dearly.

Bunch of flaws, not gonna say its perfect, far from it. But still

Just beat 5 minutes ago. 35 hours.

OP, the reason why people are hating on it is its because this is a forum.   Happy people tend not to post as much as sad people.

it felt rushed to me, wish it was longer had more levels and could go old school with the weps.

i finished the game pretty fast, i liked how the landing missions had more detail then just a large area with some mountains and basses or something.

in ME1 you could land once in every system, in ME2 there were not as many landings and missions were only long for me once i moved up to hardcore.

it seems most of the players time is meant to be exploring planets for minerals for upgrades even though you only really need large amounts of platinum (150k-200k) 45k of element zero and about 90k of everything else.

what they did well i liked, what they messed up on killed the game for me.

I loved it.

They fixed everything.

I find the combat system to actually be challenging now.

I find the way they handled ME1 love interests very well.

I love that they got rid of that ridiculous inventory that would get cluttered with **** you would never need just so you could be filled with happy delerium as you spam-sold it all to the Hanaar vendor at the citadel.

I would also like to say to the complainers unhappy customers that they get the sticks out of their asses and just enjoy the game as it is, because regardless of brainpower needed to play it, it's fun.

End of line.

EDIT: this is directed towards the people who think one little flaw has ruined the series and believe that because of that little flaw Bioware must have succumbed to the evil that is EA and become a money-hungry corporate machine.

The game is GREAT.

Yes there were some problems.

The scanning of the planets is very tedious,I somewhat miss the exploring of planets by vehicles, and there are not many different type of guns and armor. But still after those problems the game is still excellent because it has an amazing story and some of the best characters ever.

I really enjoyed playing it and can't wait until ME3. I hope Bioware mixes the good things from ME1 and ME2 to make ME3 unbelievable.

that in red I completely disagree with. It's a vast blanketed statement that you make without detail.   I personally think ME2 could have kept everything ME1 game play (from equipment, planet exploring, recruit both ME1 team + ME2 team) and add the new things introuduced in ME2 with the exception of ammo collecting/re-clipping, and it would have been a very great game.

Haven't finished it yet, but I'm really enjoying it. The planet mineral scanning reminds me of time sinks in an MMO, but no biggie. First time I walked into Afterlife though. WOW! Awesome! :D

Only thing I really miss in the mass effect games is ship combat. Maybe in the future?!

Well when you're approaching the flotilla they all look like the same ship at different sizes. I knew it wasn't going to be like I envisioned it from Ascension but still, I expected variety. Even lazy variety. Its really a non issue, ant the interiors were awesome.

Its a non-issue. I still enjoyed that part of the game.

Nah brah, don't you read the forums? This game is apparently as atrocious as it gets when it comes to sequels.

I just wish all these whiners were around when interplay took the original fallout franchise and turned it into a mind numbing action game. That would have been awesome to behold
