Why was the sun blue?

At the end of the game if you destroyed the factory, the sun behind TIM is blue instead of red. What's the reason for that?

The illusive man is in front of a dying star, has been the entire game, at the end the star has died. Next play through pay attention to the background and you'll see it's gradually changed.

Hmmm sorry misread, yeah I didn't notice that since I didn't ever keep it. I simply assumed it changed color because it had been dying.
