When you find the dead Cerberus detective and you find the bad information about Cerberus, who should you upload it to? The alliance, Cerberus, or just keep it?

Depends. I sent it to Cerberus on my first playthrough. Though, I'll probably keep it on my NG+.

I gave it to the Alliance, it was my own under-the-table way to "prove" my distrust towards Cerberus, and fortunately Cerberus never found out about it (at least not during ME2's events, perhaps there will be consequences of that in ME3 however).

Well first of all you should always do what you feel is in your character, asking others kinda takes your Shepard away from you.

Personally I was playing my Paragon Shepard, so I sent it to the Alliance, as I simply don't trust T.I.M.

My Renegade Shepard will probably keep it to himself.

I kept it just as an insurance policy against TIM.... He is too shady, for the likes of me, and I feel more comfortable having **** on him.

I do that mission after meeting with the Council and refusing their reinstatement offer in disgust. I was pretty keen on Cerberus after that, so I uploaded to Cerberus Command.

I said I sent it to the alliance before I really got an answer. I just wanted to know really if it would affect paragon or anything, but then I didn't care and just sent it.
This is also my second playthrough so I can play however I want.

I kept it as well. You receive an email from EDI if you do saying it will take her almost 1 year to decrypt the contents of it. Apparently we wont know what's in it until ME3 or maybe an expansion comes out.

I don't know what to think of Cerberus, i kept the "bad information" to myself so i was in between trusting the Alliance & Cerberus.

Should i just not trust them at all?

I'm trying my best to be "Paragon" & i'm doing okay at it.

Please someone tell me if i should trust them or not. its driving me mad. :( LoL

Cerberus blows up ships with Element Zero above a human colony to get suitable biotic subjects from the children exposed to the Element Zero.

Cerberus has at least twice set ambushes for Alliance marines to be killed by Thresher Maws to see the results of the corrosive acid.

Cerberus have created Husks (while Miranda says from bodies already dead, seriously who trusts the Cerberus cheerleader ****?)

Cerberus created Jack and used other not-as-gifted children as test subjects for experiements so they could ensure Jack wasn't killed. Several other children died.

Cerberus will try to create superhumans by using Reaper tech in the next novel.

Cerberus tried to infiltrate the Flotilla and blew up one of their ship (or nearly blew up, can't remember)

Cerberus is not at all paragon.

Did I miss anything?

I dunno. I kept, but then somone pointed out ot me that EDI decrypts it if you keep it, so how much do we trust EDI?

There are different ways of playing 'paragon' and 'renegade' (you can simply pick a dialogue wheel position and always stick to it, or make choices for a specific character. eg, my paragon Shep actually let the council die because concentrating on Soveriegn was her priority). Best bet in all these descicions is to go with your gut. There is no 'right' or 'wrong'.

Alternatively, multiple PTs for the wine! XD

My paragon Shepard never trusts Cerberus. Use their resources, which are considerable, to fight the Collectors. But never let his guard down for a second. Whenever it came to Shepard giving an opinion on Cerberus, it kept along the lines of "don't fool yourself" to "I'm in an uneasy partnership."

My paragade Shepard didn't trust Cerberus, the Council, or the Alliance because none of them really had any trust in him, so why reciprocate?

I kept it to my self and can deside later what to do with it. Mostly because I don't know what's in the data and how will it be used and affect different groups. As for EDI's trust, mm..

As for Cerberus, I'm using they resources to do what's needed to be done. Like talk with Garrus, necessary evil.

Keep it. Information is power. It can be used as a bargaining tool when you need Cerberus on your side. Same with the bad evidence about the alliance in Stolen Memory I keep that too.

Ummm... Has anyone tried to move their PC clock one year forward to see if EDI is done decrypting it?

The journal entries and emails after uploading the info to the Alliance and to EDI basically tell you that EDI can decrypt it up to a year quicker than the Alliance can.

Given that I hate Cerberus and never considered giving it to them, I uploaded it to EDI because:

Cerberus has supporters in the Alliance who might warn them/destroy the data.

Alliance decryption is too slow.

In the even that we need Cerberus help against the Reapers, you can use the decrypted data to blackmail Cerberus to do so, or blackmail them to do something else.

I hope there is an option in ME3 to give the data to Emily Wong.
