Zaeed is a lose cannon and not command material - his loyalty mission proves that.
This hardly explains why it is he who dies as the squad leader and not the rest of the squad.

I'd prefer that over the type of person who could fail the mission because they're trying to keep everyone alive.

Samara says she's almost 1000. Despite Miranda telling us she's an excellent choice, the game says otherwise: just like Zaeed.Jackal904 wrote...
I'd say Samara does. She's like 600 years old.
No one is denying Garrus doesn't have experience. 2 years about. Zaeed has over 20. Zaeed and Garrus both have disloyalty/internal conflict stories. Zaeed has several stories about his experiences. (Notice he doesn't tell us boring day-in/day-out stories of him losing men/not losing men everyday.) Garrus likes to calibrate guns.Garrus... He reminds you very often of this too. We know really nothing of Zaeed's leading abilities. Sure he helped start the Blue Suns but that doesn't necessarily mean he can safely lead people. Garrus effectively lead his team. The only reason they died was because one of his teammates set him up.
No, the poster was referring to Zaeed's story while attacking the Verrikan, which was one of Zaeed's suicide missions where his squad died, yet he survived. This is a debateable point, since a) his team died, yetI'm assuming you're referring to him surviving a gunshot to the head. Just because he survived a gunshot to the head doesn't mean he's an effective leader.
