True heroine in the trilogy (so far...)

Throughout the two game, Tali is the only female who truly believe Shepard. In the first game, she follows
Shepard putting her pilgrimage aside to stop Saren while other two, thinking that stopping Saren is the "greater
good" while Liara and Ashley follows him because former has to find the answer for her half-century research and
latter because she is assigned to the Normandy.
Even in the second game, Tali gladly join up with Shepard believing that what he is doing is right, even though
he's working for the organization who attacked her fleet. While other former LIs could not follow Shepard because
of their patriotism and vengence.
as a fan who played ME1, I don't think there is enough space between Shepard and Tali for Jack and Miranda to
barge in...
Same thing with Garrus for fem Shep
So please BW in ME3 please let the LI we chose in ME2 appear as a squadmate. There are not enough time for
Shepard to die again for two years or everyone else to "go on their way" because freaking Reapers are here!!!

What is interesting about Tali is that if I remember correctly she is basically in love with shepard even without you pursuing it. Kelly mentions it to Shepard when you talk to her about Tali.
Yup. Just listen to the way she talks about you. She calls you a "force of nature." She's so taken with DudeShep, it's adorable.

Tali and Garrus are both potentially dead. Liara is the only one guaranteed to be alive, and she was solely responsible for both 1) stopping Saren by identifying Ilos, and 2) bringing you back from the dead by giving your body to Cerberus.
Liara rulez.

Exactly.... she is in love with you while other two you have to actually work for it.

Well thing is that right now Liara is too caught up in her own vengence that she refuses to follow you (way she recites her mother's famous line... brr). While Tali followed Shepard putting her pilgrimage aside in ME1 and basically follow him again center of the universe, again putting her personal matter behind.

Doesn't detract from the importance of what Liara did.
In fact, Tali's presence on the suicide mission actually proves that she's generally expendable for the trilogy and doesn't play a vital role in ME3. Liara is still set and ready to go to play yet another vital role.

Well, you had to work for it with Tali, too, by impressing her with your badass heroics in the first game, and doing her loyalty mission in the new game.

Shepard can also die on the mission., just saying.

According to the Monglor Rescue-o-meter which I just made up in my head:
I rescued Tali four times. From Fist, from a mech, from Geth and from Quarian justice.
I rescued Liara once from a big prothean forcefield.
Ashley rescued herself, then I found her. She also offers herself as a sacrifice for the team.
I had to rescue Garrus once.
Legion rescued me once, then I carried him home, so we're square.
Wrex and Grunt are my homeboys. Technically I rescue Grunt from a tank, but medically he is a tank. So that's sorted.
Jack needs to be rescued.
Samara needs the world to be rescued from her. She then rescued me from her horny daughter.
So with that list only Samara is actually ahead in the rescue stakes. But she's not particularly heroic.
I'm going to go out on a severely weakened limb and say Joker is the hero of the story so far. If the Normandy has a lesser pilot no good things happen.

I totally agree. I think all of the characters amped up the emotion in this one, but Garrus and Tali just broke my heart and warmed it at the same time.InvaderErl wrote...
I view Shep/Garrus/Tali at this point as the emotional heart of Mass Effect.

That means nothing. A Shepard death can not be imported into ME3. A Tali/Garrus death can.

If you don't romance Tali, she has the personality of a cardboard(same with Miranda and Jacob). So, no, I dont consider her the main heroine.
And my face reaction to Tali joining in ME1 was the same face reaction Anderson had(play ME1 again if you didn't notice it). She was completely out of context for joining an N7 Alliance marine. Same with Garrus. Atleast Wrex was Citadel Space's top bounty hunter, but even then that was pretty weak justification.
I have a feeling the devs had Tali(and Garrus) as a recruitable member in ME2 precisely because their recruitment in ME1 was weak. That way they can show how those 2 are one of the best the galaxy has to offer.

Even better, if they survive the suicide mission together after what they have gone through in ME1, there are
nothing that can break thsee three from each other.

I have to say that I was happy when they brought Tali back as a team mate no matter if she is a love interest or not Garrus can die for all i care i didn't even like him in the first game really kinda bummed that he was "ArchAngel" I was hoping for a REAL bad ass not this C-Sec cast off. Lets put it this way I want Wrex back, I would totally run through the entire game with him and Grunt(a bit off topic sorry).
Slaughtering the forces of three gangs plus freelance mercenaries as they lay waste to your last stand position with ground troops and gunships is BAD ASS.
