I am tempted to kill both Aevrnus and the possessed but I am afraid if I kill Avernus and dont let him continue his research, I will lose out on abilites later in the gane?
Also, where is that secret cache? I have goten all the clues and it asks me to look for cache but I cant find it anywehre.
I left the keep for party camp to grab some potions and then came back to take care of Avernus and the others. Did that remove the cache from the keep??

1) Did you kill Avernus and the demon?
2) Did you let both live?
3) Did you kill Avernus and let the Demon live?
4) Did you kill the Demon and let Avernus experiment with the Wardens?
5) Did you kill the Demon and let Avernus live but not experiment on Wardens anymore?
Do you guys think letting Avernus live will allow access to more abilities later on? And letting him experiment on Wardens might mean he will kill Allistair later on?
Jessica, thanks. I found the cache.
Isse, that's what I did too, initially. However, I saved before making the decisions and have played through other choices as well. I am just afriad of being locked out of abilities later on that Avernus might provide?
As a warrior I got 2 abilities. Doesn't it say 6 are available at Warden's keep?

I killed them both. I persuaded the demon to close the gate 1st before I cleared out the tower. I cleaned out the tower and when she said our business was finished, I killed her too. Some nice stuff in there! Alistair looks all Grey Warden-y now. I wish I could find some better leather for my rogue now. She looks like such a scrub.
check out Mikahel's shop if you haven't already, might be some leather in there for your rogue to match alistair

Also I let Avernus live hoping he would be useful later, but that also seems like a pointless choice...
I am also dissapointed in the size of the party chest, it is not this master size it should be... I think it holds about 50 items? Have to say this DLC is not what it should have been.

BTW, do the characters at the camp, who are not adventuring with you gain xp while sitting at the camp?
I don't believe so, even the people in your party don't receive xp if they are dead at the end of a battle. That annoys me, they can fight for some time and contribute a lot, but still receive no xp if they die before the end of the battle.

So, Asturian's secret cache for the "Ancient History" quest is inside the keep? That's incredibly disappointing, considering how I can't seem to get back in.
Ya not sure why they locked us out afterwards...

This was my choice. I also drank the potion and recieved some blood rogue abilities. One was a great sneak and attack buff and the 2nd was a toggle ability that buffs attack while depleting health (not useful yet with my low con)
The DLC was decent, but for $7 i aspected a little more. Maybe a basement dungeon crawl with respawning monsters or something...
The cache had the old Warden Commander's sword in it, a nice shield and some vendor trash
One of the nice things about the Keep is the smith. He says he can make a weapon out of any metal you bring him. There is a random encounter while on the overhead map that gives you a some super metal that becomes a nice sword too.

When you first enter the floor where the gate to the veil is (room with the 4 summoning circles), you will see a fire place with a painting above it. Inspect the painting and voila, out pops the secret cache.
Also, for those that can not re-enter to finish the secret cache quest line after completing the main story, I agree with you that this was poorly implemented. It would be nice to re-enter the castle, even to possibly bother Avernus once again, if you chose to keep him alive.

i had the blood mage close the portals and then i killed him because.
reason 1 : he experimented on and killed other wardens and thats just not exceptable
reason 2 : when you kill him you get a pretty fine blood mage robe, best i've seen so far at lvl8
