I liked it, I just wish there would of been more dialogue/cut scenes.. I liked the weapons and armor.
I agree. There should have been a lot more dialogue. It was 99% fighting Darkspawn and spiders.
I even took Alister and Wynne, so they had some dialogue. Which wasn't all that interesting.

I took them too and I thought it was very unlike Alistair to be so mean to Wynne. Usually he only mean to MorriganPapaPataters wrote...

The gear, and the last battle was good. Felt really satisfying.

i actually liked it a lot. it was my favorite of the dlc so far (shale's quest, wk, and rto). i guess it's a taste thing. i was very thorough, but it took me an hour to finish, so i like the length too.dethtoemos wrote...
I love Bioware and this game but after waiting that extra time and having my specializations messed up by that patch i was extremely dissappointed by the content or lack thereof in RTO. If there is more $5 dlcs i will be very hesitant on downloading them. I was just wondering how other people felt.

Prepare for a slew of post telling you that $5 is nothing so you should not complain, that what other games do have nothing to do with what Bioware decides, etc...
I'm actually suprised the BDF (Bioware Defense Force) hasn't already jumped all over the OP to be honest.

when someone is simply expressing an opinion and not being a troll about it, us members of the bioware defense force do not attack.CoS Sarah Jinstar wrote...

It says $7 but it's not clear how many points this is? I am guessing 600-ish given that the $5 RTO is equivalent to 400 -- are either of them worth it?
Have enjoyed the game immensely and am planning a second playthru but with additional content, but don't want to go for it, if it's only an extra hour or so play-time?
Comments welcome... I wonder how much will be included in the new expansion pack as well?

It was not perfect (there was one very important scene missing, when you kill a certain thing and find two certain things, there should have really been a scene there, or at least someone telling something, but there was nothing), but it was definitely worth the price.
Whoever says that $5 for an hour is too much should consider that he probably spends the same for a mcdonalds meal.

At checkout they only have the points in $5,$7, and $15 intervals.
If you don't think $7 is worth an hour or so of gameplay, then don't get it. I thought it was worth it, but your mileage will vary.

I know, I totally agree with you. Been hearing those "5 dollars' nothing so you shouldn't complain" arguement.
I suggest you check out the reviews from both sides (those who like it and those who don't) before you make your purchase.

Considering how much I replay the game it was definitely worth the $5 since it translates into far more than 1 hour. If people are disappointed or surprised by the length of RtO I can only say that how long it is was never a secret. Perhaps these people wouldn't complain so much if they had looked into it beforehand.
Most of the gear is useful. The weapons/shield are great and the boots are good enough to consider breaking a tanking set bonus for.
I've only done it once so far and my party was Alstair, Wynne, and Dog but the banter was good.

My first playthrough experience was with a female dwarf rogue, and basically she kicked butt big-time and became a cross between a tank and a chest unlocker... any recommendations for second playthrough?
I did the first one without Wynne or Leliana, so thought I'd do a second playthrough with these and a different main role... maybe with a human or elf mage? Or perhaps another rogue but this time an elf with bow-based skills rather than dual wielding... any suggestions? At the minute I'm leaning toward a mage main character with Leliana as my rogue, but any thoughts would be appreciated...
