Why is it throughout the game I ended up getting a few renegade points when my Shepard was all paragon?
I tried replaying some of the conversions over to see if some had a different out come maybe I had messed up.
I went with all Paragon yet in the end game during a few sequences throughout all  of the game I had half the lower bar almost half full of renegade with a maxed out Paragon.
Is this a bug or something new for Mass effect 2 all together?

Also I've been hearing about the Dr. Pepper promo.
Is it only 7-eleven during this or can I get this at like the grocery store some where?
I've tried a few places where I am which is Ohio and nothing so far.

Dr. Pepper promo can be found essentially anywhere if they are keeping their stock up to date.

Yeah, I've also gotten a few Renegade points even if by the end of the game I was full Paragon.

Thanks.
I'll keep trying maybe they haven't updated their inventory yet where I am.
I'd hate to have to find a 7-eleven just for this.
I haven't been to a 7-eleven or seen one in over 10 years...

Hopefully a few grocery stores get a few bottles in soon.
Tell me you wouldn't happen to have come across any have you?
The reason I ask is what do they look like?
Do they have EA on the bottle like the advertisement on the xbox live main page?
Or is it just a yellow cap?

Yeah that is odd indeed.
Perhaps it's just like in Me1 where they give you 1 point each playthrough for your Shepard regardless if it's Renegade or Paragon for some reason or another.

Paragon and Renegade points are based entirely on dialogue decisions you make throughout the game. There are some points you can gain when you get the Renegade/Paragon flashing image on screen to perform an action but the majority is through dialogue.

You can clearly identify which dialogue option is which by where it is on the dialogue selection circle.

The dialogue circle is split up into 3 sections on the left and right side. A Top option, a Middle option, and a Bottom option.

If the options are on the Left side, it's investigate/information type options. You don't get any Paragon/Renegade points for these. It's just information gathering. In some cases there will be a top and bottom option on the left side which do give points but you can usually tell when it's not information gathering and it's actually a decision.

The main point gathering is done with the options on the Right side of the circle. The Top option is always the Paragon choice. The Middle option is always the neutral choice. The Bottom option is always the Renegade choice.

If you're getting some Paragon points and some Renegade points, it's because you picked a Top and a Bottom option within the same series of a dialogue. (e.g you made two decisions within one discussion with someone)

If you just want Paragon points, always choose the Top Right option. If you want only Renegade points, always choose the Bottom Right option. If you want the neutral choice, always choose the Middle Right option.

Sometimes you may not have the option you want. In that case, pick the neutral choice so you don't get any points for the side you don't want. You'll just get nothing. And also keep in mind that some quests will always give you Paragon points because it's considered a "good deed". (e.g helping the Quarian/Volus stolen chit quest on Citadel) So if you don't want Paragon points, you may have to just skip these quests.

Yeah, see I knew a lot of what you said and thanks for sharing.

I've always went with the top and middle ground when in conversion

However, unlike the first game in which I got all Paragon and never once got Renegade.

Though I did know that if you did the Mission for Ish and Liara were Renegade to begin with I believe in ME2 and i think that's perhaps where a bulk of it came from I guess.

In my first playthrough, I was going Paragon, so I did all the Paragon stuff, but sometimes I'd do Renegade if there was no alternative.

In my 2nd, I'm going for Renegade, but I'm still doing occasional Paragon choices if there is no Renegade choice.

Yeah I thought I picked all paragon 1st time through but I ended up with a few points in renegade. Not sure who I insulted or whatever. :)
