Good for you. Hooking up with gives her at worst a cold. So how does Tali doing something in her personal life or ANY squadmate in 1 or 2 for that matter "wasting potential"? Simple answer, it doesn't.

Uh, why?  It's not as though eveyone will inevitably want a child.  In any case, you might want to check this new thing people are doing.  It's all the rage.  They call it adoption.

Also, don't forget, this is the future, scientific advancement and all, perhaps something could be worked out where Shep and Tali could one day have a child together. If FemShep could, in theory, 'father' a child with an Asari, why couldn't she (or he, in the case of this specific discussion) have a child with a Quarian? Think outside the box . In any event, Im a huge Tali fan, and if I were Shep I wouldn't let anything like that stop me from being with Tali. As for Tali, Im sure she'd be quite happy giving up being an Admiral in return for being the true love and right hand woman of one of the biggest galactic heroes of all time. Thats a MUCH better, and more important, position anyway .

Tali is a Quarian, not an Asari. And she is Dextro amino acid, Shepard isn't. Their DNA won't mix. Haven't you ever heared that sond by Loverboy?

Are you sure the issue isn't that she's 24? Because, well, she's 24.

But, seriously, I don't see any issue. If Tali is willing to suffer the occasional cold for a couple days to get some hot thermal clip reloading action from Shep, well, that's her business. She's a 24 year old adult after all, with 24 years of experience to allow her to make that decision.
