I need to upgrade my fuel tanks for the normandy, I figure they will probably be needed in the last mission somehow. Right now I need 1300 eezo, and was wondering if you guys knew of specific places that had a lot of eezo, or if bigger planets/smaller planets had a lot more of it.
Or maybe tell me if fuel tanks are even a factor in the last mission...and I'll stop my quest for the illusive eezo xD
Element Zero- Any particular planet to find a lot of it? (Scanning)

You should search for it on garden worlds/post-garden worlds. At least, that's where I noticed it the most anyway. Good luck!

Fuel tanks aren't necessary for the last mission.
Just armor, shield, and guns.

There is a lot of ezo to find all around. More than you will ever need to do all the research and still have lots left over.
For the most part I noticed that I found more of it on smaller planets that were either green, red, or icy/white. There are some galaxy maps you can buy from a vendor which take you to some more unexplored clusters also.
I would generally use the scanner on a planet swinging it fast back and forth over the planet from top to bottom. If you don't see the ezo side buzzing then go to the next planet. Don't bother scanning the whole thing, it's just a waste of time.
If you do see it buzzing then that's when you want to take the time to scan the entire planet thoroughly because where you find some, you will always find more.
I think there's also another thread with this topic if you search for "Scanning Tips". Someone already posted some excellent tips on scanning and is keeping a list of planets where ezo is found.

Any planets that mention a huge, ancient battle, or ruins, or something like that will have eezo.
Gas tanks are just helpful for exploring, you don't need it for the last mission.

as said fuel is not important, but it does help on some of the long hauls between systems.
I can't give planet names off the top of my head, but the best sources are the ( Ezo-Trio) and other garden worlds...if the planet is lush, chances are you will find high amounts of zero.
