After speaking to Ish, and saying that i'd go get his info, I went out and picked one of them up (citadel).  I decided later to pick up something from omega (damage upgrade, since i had the cash). and want to talk to him.  I took the paragon option and convinced him to not ****** off Aria by messing with the power structure.   Ish ran away, and the other data pad was nowhere to be found.  The assignment is still in my list with the "deliver package" listed as incomplete.

You shouldn't be able to conversation your way into completing a quest, if the quest won't truly complete.

I didn't run across this glitch -- I quite happily handed over the stuff for the fat cash, and the task is now finished -- but there's an additional issue with this task; after handing over the package from Illium I picked up the second from Citadel, but the journal didn't budge from "Pick up the package" so I wasted a fair amount of time hunting around thinking I'd missed something.

I picked up both packages and went to deliver, used paragon also to find mission/quest incomplete saying I needed to deliver them to Ish.



this isn't the only mission glitch I've had,

Omega: Packages for Ish. The same has happened to me. I offered Ish the Paragon way out to complete the assignment. Within the Journal the Assignment is still in 'Orange'. I picked up just one package from the Citadel.

Yup, same here. I persuaded him not to mess with the target, and he left. The quest overview text has changed, but it has not greyed out.
