I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm not able to locate the topic here...
If I've done Miranda's loyalty quest first and followed up with Jack's, there's a small disagreement between them afterwards and I had to take sides...
Will I be able to "win" the loyalty of the other over after that scene?
There were 2 grayed out conversation topics and I don't get any other dialogue options when I try to speak to the pissed off party...

Would it help if I did Jack's quest first followed by Miranda?
Thanks in advance!

doesn't matter which order you do their quests and yes you can make amends afterwards.

You need a certain (pretty high) level of Renegade/Paragon to retain the loyalty of both.

You need a ridiculously high Paragon/Renegade, from what I hear.

Yes RIDICULOUSLY high from what I hear. Best thing to do is get it high enough before that argument takes place so you can settle their dispute amicably without pissing them off at the moment of the confrontation. The requirement is much lower. Otherwise you may require the class power evolution that gives you the highest negotiation bonus.

You don't need ridiculously high - at least I think. On my first playthrough (paragade) I did both the quests reasonably early and when the scene in question came up I picked renegade and told them to cut the **** out. Afterwards I romanced Miranda and Jack wouldn't talk to me unless I broke things off with Miranda - however she was still loyal.

Second playthrough, again paragade, this time though after horizon I immediately romanced Miranda and ended up macking with her - score! Or so I thought... as soon as I finished their sidequests I found that both charm and renegade options were grayed out despite me having the same meters and being a champion.

I think it comes down to not being in a relationship of any sort with either when the moment comes and only after the mission you begin to pursue one with either them or somebody else.

I did Miranda's mission but I wanna see if I can persuade them if I hold off Jack's for a while.

Thanks guys & gals!
I did it... My Paragon meter was just slightly above 2 bars...
Decided to side Miranda first and later spoke to Jack regarding it...
Something along the lines of "Don't tell me you fall for that sh*t?" and about providing lip service to Cerberus & Miranda...
All's well on my tiny little ship now... :D

I was actually able to use an intimidate today in their confrontation with less than 1.5 renegade "ticks".

Yeah you don't need that much of renegade to clear the situation up...I think you need a lot more though to remedy the situation if you screw up at first

i think you just need to talk to jack and miranda all the way through,if you just leave jack in the basement and never talk to her on your second playthrough you cant talk your way outta this one. i had all but 1 bar filled paragon and both options greyed out. now jack wont talk to me. 1st playthrough not sure how many paragon points i had but had the bonus due to importing.

I have done it twice and my paragon was just over half.

My paragon was at about 50% to get the option.

My Paragon bar was full. I was unable to talk either of them down ever. I will try it earlier next time thanks. I have been using the Prima Guide book as well A WASTE OF MONEY AND USELESS.

Lots of conflicting information. Seems dependant on what stage of the game the fight happens. Earlier in the game = less Paragon/Renegade points needed to diffuse.

Correct.  Additionally, this particular check is easier as Renegade.  Tali/Legion check is easier as Paragon.

You probably need to be working on your last segment. Its easiest to import a paragon/renegade from ME1. That really helps you get up to that level.

Also. I would hold off till you get to that level before trying Samara's quest. If you are under the required amount, I guess you don't possess enough mental stamina to resist Morinth's allure. Also, you don't get an opportunity to select Morinth as a crewmember if you are not high enough in one or the other.

Oh one more thing, if you have had Jack as a partner, you don't get the option, she is looking for your approval if you don't choose her she says I will help you with your mission but you get no more than that from me.

OK, I am really ticked off, I had close to 100% paragon, I did Miranda's loyalty quest first & the loyalty ring showed up under her. I then did Jack's mission, get back to the ship, the cat fight started & the paragon object was grayed out. What the heck did I do wrong? Of course I told Miranda to stand down & of course she isn't talking to me... I wish I could just throw her out the airlock or better yet punch her jaw back into face. Any hint here would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I replayed - this time doing Jack's mission first, followed by Miranda's & same thing, no paragon options even though I am at 97-98% on the meter. I only have Zaeed left to do so maybe tomorrow I will do his mission before Miranda's & Jack's since I can't figure out why paragon options aren't available to me. I am really irked cause I wanted everyone loyal for this playthru... Aggggh.

Just have like 60% or more paragon or renegade before you complete both of their loyalty missions. Once you complete both their loyalty missions their arguement triggers.

Perhaps after IFF mission you can't persuade the other to become loyal.

I'm guessing difficulty settings make a difference as well. Just did an Insane playthrough and Miranda died at the very end no matter what I did, because she became un-loyal after the cat fight. Tried to convince her at 96% paragon before Omega 4 but was unable.

Trying to get the 'no one left behind' medal... it's the only one I have left. Can't get it unless the entire team is loyal, even if they are unassigned. Perhaps if I ordered Miranda to take the Normandy crew back she'd survive since whoever gets that job is removed from the roster?

I'll try pre-IFF with Hardcore and try for 100% loyalty...
