Thanks. I tweaked her lips a bit, and Photoshopped another screenshot again. I like sepia. The character isn't all that moody, but I can't change her expression just for screenshots. So I edited the shot to fit her expression.



I think that dual-weilding bow thing was related to a memory leak issue, but it's really strange. It happened when I killed Flemeth, too; stabbed her with a bow. Revaan is normally an archer, but I switch to DW when enemies get too close or to get a finishing blow. Totally ruined my planned photoshoot.

By the way, Amara's dog is named Mouse.

I'm gonna load up my Dalish soon. Poor thing is still at Ostagar.

Editing screenshots is fun. I just wish there were some pose mods, and it's a bit frustrating that there's no way to free the camera.

I get that glitch when switching weapons. It usually happens after I've been playing for a few hours. Sometimes Wynne's arm breaks gets locked in a raised position, and sometimes Morrigan runs around in the battle stance through Denerim. I've seen some screenshots of Alistair that look like he has Down's Syndrome, and a gif of his head twisting off and flying toward the camera. Oh, and this.

I've seen some good-looking male characters around here, but there's far more female characters, it seems. Something about your guy, though, that I particularly like.

Every time I see that Leliana video, I laugh so hard I cry. The only thing that's made me laugh so hard was a dramatic reading of My Immortal.

I think the thing that strikes me about Legam is his face. It's very expressive.

Here's Niena, who's still at Ostagar after about three weeks. I abandoned her in favor of Amara and a fouth playthrough of Revaan.

@dalishranger -- I *love* that 2nd picture, with the sky. Love that character too. I think you're right -- with the darker skin he looks different from many you see, and it makes him stand out. I like that particular beard, too.

You know, I just realized I should have named the dog Cirrus. That would fit Amara better. Did you know that furies were inspired by Pokemon?

My Dalish character is going to be very different from my other characters. Going by DnD alignments, my mage and my city elf are Chaotic Good, and Amara is Lawful Good. My Dalish is going to be Chaotic Neutral. I can't really do evil. I don't have it in me. But the "wild" look was what I was going for with Niena.

As for your city elf (my favorite origin), I think she looks best as a brunette, with the third hair style. The justification is kind of stange, but I think it fits the shape of her head best. But... What happened to Nelaros?! He's from bizzaro-world!

Thanks for the input guys! I'm still trying to decide.. After saying I was going to stay away from her tonight to get perspective, instead I played all 4 creations thru the origin and into the wilds. The only thing I decided was that the 2nd hairstyle was out And also, that I *really* love killing a certain someone at the end of the origins story. (trying not to spoiler, just in case)



@shayaryn -- Cirrus would've been perfect! I named my Amara's dog Bernard. lol. I almost felt guilty afterward, like I should make it up to him by creating a warrior archer I just haven't been able to stick with a male character yet.



I didn't know the furies were inspired by Pokemon, that's so funny. I'm sort of basing Kiara on Kitai, going chaotic neutral on her too. It just feels right for the dalish character. I agree -- that's about as bad as I can go.

Is this what you were referring to in the City Elf origin? I love that shot.

Poor Nelaros! I don't like to play around with NPC face morphs, but I can see the fun in it. Did you keep his ring?

Have you visited Jim Butcher's forums? He post there sometimes, and he said that furies are based on Pokemon. My dad, who reads the books, refuses to believe that. It's kind of to think of Codex Alera as a bunch of Romans running around with Pokemon.

Bernard the dog. xD I don't like playing male characters, either; it feels funny.

I've been playing around with a Kitai face morph. I made her human because Marat look nearly human, though she would work better as an elf. I couldn't find a hairstyle, vanilla or modded, that fit her, though. At least I think I got her eyes right. I have yet to stick her in the game.



If you do make a character named Kitai, name her dog Tavi.

Her nose looked off in a few shots, so I adjusted it a bit.





After all the complaining I've been doing about how hard it is to make a female elf, I think Niena turned out pretty well.

Mind if I add you as a friend? I think it's funny we both have characters named Amara.

The eyes are perfect on your Kitai. The green slant... maybe if I try and do an evil character, I could base her off the vord queen who looks like Kitai I'd never get very far, though



Speaking of Amaras, I really liked this shot of mine. (yes, having a hard time leaving her, I go back and replay some scenes without saving )







And please, add as a friend Too funny to find another Jim Butcher fan. Although I would guess there are a lot of fantasy lovers in the DA:O world, so there's probably some more of us out there!

Thanks. I usually go for more "cute" characters, so Niena was different for me. I made her solely for the purpose of romancing Zevran.

Ooo, Vord queen would be fun. What would you name her? I wish you could get a female dog- you could name her Invidia. Ha. I think the Vord queen would be best as a mage, with primal spells. I'd try it myself, but I just can't play evil.

I make a ton of saves with Revaan and replay them sometimes, mostly to see the differences between her and Amara. And to get screenshots.

I like that shot of your Amara. The background is pretty, and Amara kind of matches it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the DA wtires read Jim Butcher. There's characters in the codex named Gaius and Amara, and the Vord are very similar to the darkspawn; the corruption they leave in their wake is like croach.

mochen, it's been said before, but your character is adorable.

@ Shayaryn -- the second shots in the marsh looks exotic! It seems like it fits her appearance and the personality.



@sabreene -- Thank you. I'm really satisfy with Marvis. I really adore him. :-) The shots with Alistair is really great. Lake Calrnid is my all time favourite for both atmosphere and music. There is a nice place to have some romantic screenshots. It is sad though there is not much romantic animation like embrace inside the game.



@mochen -- You mage is really cute and adorable.
