Ok, new warrior, was inspired by stacymc chars story, wanted to make a char who's story is still in progress, so i present Caliel.



Caliel Cousland, caring, kind girl, who became good friends with Iona, but after seing her friend killed infront of her, most of the people who she grew to know lay dead, and suffering a slash at her face from a howe soldier after guarding her mother, she has become a harbinger of vengeance who's story is still folding as we speak.

Caliel definitely looks like she's lost a lot. Good job on her, though the slash isn't that noticeable. and I think that is Amaranthine in the second shot, yes?

thank you! she's quickly becoming my favorite character. she's probably more OP than my mage, as hard to believe as that might be. and being Dalish, genuinely pretty, and with Leliana is amazing.

FFFFF I just now discovered the anti-aliasing slider in the game settings. Thankfully I haven't gone too far yet with my HNF's playthrough. It will be so much fun taking screenshots. x3

@Kitt- Lovely elf! The Morrigan hair looks good on her. :3 And Sten's not looking too bad either. I love the way he looks using that mod.

@Noir- Oh, she certainly appears very... vengeance-y. Looks like she's been crying for days, poor girl. I would too if that happened to me. Also, I love that shot of your mage. She really does look like an angel.

what does that anti-aliasing slider do? I've read the description, but what does it actually do?

It basically makes the graphics smoother, but will make the game more prone to lagging depending on how well your computer fares. If your computer is built for gaming I don't think you should have much of a problem. x3

Won't post my own chars here, only in my album. I think they are too "plain and generic" for this thread's peeps
I grew tired of the "unique" and special chars with glowing eyes, blue hair and anime hairstyles. They broke the immersion just a tad too much, and now when I play with my chars that actually fit into the world I love the game a bit more Maybe if the NPCs were a bit more unsual looking... but as for now, I prefer the more "person next door"-look.

Expect me to mostly comment on realistic looking chars in this thread from now on ^^ (even tho mochen's pinky is a class of her own )

surely some of the mod hairstyles aren't that bad, viruscat. some of them are, but all of them can't be

I use one on Lynnore, my avatar-character. So there is absolutely alot of good mods out there. I'm using hairmods on almost all my chars now.

They still look pretty much like NPCs tho

@VirusCat- I know what you mean about breaking the immersion thing; that's why I don't touch the toolset to alter my characters. It feels too awkward to play someone who looks so alien compared to the other people around them.

Criticism makes us stronger, no? I wouldn't get discouraged too easily, you've made some great designs. And you can always make characters and not play with them if they break immersion too much for ya. Stick with it, I enjoyed some of your stuff.

don't be discouraged, VirusCat. like Stippling said, (constructive) criticism makes us stronger, and several of us have liked your characters. I agree that some modded hairstyles, etc are just ridiculous, but there's some good ones. come back :happy:!

Well, the NPCs are all made with the toolset I use the toolset to be able to use my creations as presets or to tweak them if something looks off in game. I do try to keep them as normal as possible ;D

I agree with everything you guys say. It's just that I can't sit here all day making awesome chars to show for you when I have 120 unplayed games in my home So now when I have made 4 chars that I love to bits and will play a bit, they are not what people in this thread wants to see, apparently.
I would just get to hear that they don't stand out and such... and that's the point with them so I don't see a reason to post them here

I do have 2 chars I would like critisism on tho! The first one isn't even finished. I always seem to make a human that resembles Alistair. And he's not even pretty! I will try to use Fergus' face as a base for my human next time. Hrmpf.
