I'm kinda interested in making a Riordan-style Cousland, mainly for the purpose of nailing anything female with legs (so no broodmother *shudder*). my first attempt ended up kinda girly and weird. might get back to that over the summer.

Here's what i've been able to put together in the (hectic) last two days. Modelled him after Celeborn (Marton Csokas) from LOTR; the first one is just a copy of his face; the second being a quickly "dalishfied" version with exactly same head structure. I'm on the stage of altering him to look better after that intense copying... So any constructive criticism will be appreciated, again.


Copying a human head to DA elven base model is a bit tricky.. Different relative head sizes.. <_<

Yeah that's the (sucky) problem with some presets.. Seem to primarily have the problem with Human males... makes their noses look like a giant elephant nose.

Indeed! But if that was the only thing that was wrong it would be easily fixable by adjusting it in the CC. However, in my case the char had a HUGE nose, really scary eyes that sorta looked like they would fall down his cheeks... and his skin complexion was all off.
I'm glad a simple head morph replacement worked.

Now he looks like the guy I wanted him to look like, Fergus' bro!

This is fun, I'm really happy with all my chars now O: So no more new chars from me before Awakening is finished 6 times with these new chars ;D However I may post new pics of these ones if I take any good screens ^^

It's definitely the easiest way of making char. for me I can't make characters in Char. Creator. After the creating process (which usually takes me a few hours, days, ... so better way of saving because the CC change a facial shape when I want to load a face ) they look differently than in game(hehe, I have the same problem with the toolset so it is not so big advantage I guess) , poor light and what is most important for me - I do textures modifing so I simply need it ....  ->end of my heart-breaking confession   Hmmm... It's a very comprehensive post with my english I didn't know that I'm so courageous.

@Presence: Thank you, kadan You reworked Haldir to Celeborn? Nooo! I hope it's completely different version. I have the same opinion like mochen about dalish appearance. Perhaps a nose is quite above but it's Marton
 Csokas's ... not a problem nor mistake... but a rareness, yes, this is the right word!

@ VirusCat - Nice work with your dwarf girl, I personally prefer the second one. Call me old fashioned but dwarves should look like dwarves.
The human male is good too, he looks like he could be fergus brother. He bares an uncanny reseblence to mochen's Kurt though don't you think? NOT A BAD THING AT ALL!

I think it's mostly the hair and stubble that makes him resemble Kurt... but Kurt is the best ever so ;D

Feeling like a bum watching everyone post their amazing new designs, I finally buckled down and finished a few creations. I'm pretty happy with all three of them, but we'll see what you guys think. This set is all about facial detail and using fairly basic features to protray what I feel are fairly unique characters. Enjoy!

First and probably my favorite, my newest City Elf with something to prove, I present...


This one is based on my favorite actor. It's not an identical copy but I did use his facial features as an inspiration! Here is.....

Flynn looks like his eyes will glow red at any moment, and bat wings will sprout and he'll fly off to terrorize local villages. has that vampiric, manipulative look IMO.

I think it's bottom part of the face (lips, chin) put noticeably forward. Reminded me of the Dark Crystal characters (gelflings) especially when combined with round and full face, but the human nose and lips resulting in prety unique look overall.
