I've not abandoned the thread, nor quit making characters, and I see no reason to do either, as it seems to me that the thread is now pretty much back to normal... though without mochen and Petehog.

I swear there's something Orlesian about your dwarf lady! The eyes, maybe?
Though I agree dwarven ladies are hard, I'd say every race and gender has their own typical difficulties. Personally I find dwarven males the hardest; because of the "beard requirement" and the fact that beards dont work.. -.-

She's one pretty lady! I'd love to see a direct front picture. I don't know if you know, but you can get such screenshots by moving you character facing a wall or some other object; this forces the camera up close when you move it in front of her. V key by default gets rid of the skill bars and such, helpful while taking screenshots.

That girl is about as far as you can possibly get from "evil"! Beautiful one, too. Perhaps you should try to create a most kind and benevolent character, you might end up with that evil blood mage you desired?

She looks very arcane indeed! Perhaps I'm a nitpicker but in my opinion it'd be good to say who did the original head morph, "credit where it's due" as they say.

@ Presence, Good to see you're still here. I guess you avoided a lot of the flack that mochen got though. Still can't believe we lost those guys... the thread won't be the same without them.

Anyway back to the character business. This is my new girl Tamsin, I'm pretty pleased with her. Opinions?

@Presence - Yup, that I can understand. The original was created by someone named Lucidity on the nexus site. The tat set up on it was what i was mainly after. They did some good work, and gave me a good basis for an arcane looking character.

 @presence: i have problem uploading with my new pics of her full front, but here's another shot i did back then not close up but i think its ok. I wanted her to become asian looking but i didn't like the eye shape option that much. For asian eyes (in my opinion) not only the shape but also the eyelashes/eyelids are considered to make her more asian looking. Tell me guys if I'm wrong. Thanks.

I would post a screenshot of him if I could get my computer and the internet to cooperate. I have bee trying to get several screenshots of him and none of them ever make it to the website. I made sure I was logged in and everything else I could think of, but he's not even coming up as being a character that I am currently playing, and he is. I am getting high-speed internet this week or next, so maybe I will have better luck with that. This dial-up is for the birds.

I will post a screenshot of him as soon as I can, though.

Yes, I don't consider myself the "injured party" in the case, my work wasn't disgraced by comparison with a copy. Though I understand no-one meant any harm, it's a shame how it turned out. I do hope and believe that mochen and Petehog will be back eventually.

Tamsin is very pretty, the eyes set her apart from the others nicely. I don't see anything wrong with the nose, it looks kind of cute to me. I might have chosen a bit less bright lip make-up, but that's just my personal preference.

I'm kind of stuck with my male dwarf project. Beards limit the face options really viciously...
The eyes, they have something in common with Arl Eamon's Orlesian woman, and that Orlesian lady merchant in Denerim market, don't you think?

I must admit she doesn't look very Asian to me, she's very pretty though.

That's a rather exotic looking elf. I bet she stands out among the other alienage elves a bit, hehe. Blonde Jaheira hair looks awesome with the tattoos... Just shame how the hairstyles looks from the behind.

Yay, heres Echo.  Was going for a somewhat Darker look, and the eyes hint that perhaps something came back with her from The Harrowing.

Well, that'll teach me to listen to "The Last Unicorn" over and over while creating a face. Now I'm stuck with a girl who's gonna cry when I force her to get the BM specialization for me!

That was my 6th or so attempt to make a mage, had to wait a bit so all the Hair and Feature mods could circulate around the sites.I am a little worried however, I am not sure if all that waiting will be for naught if the Character-Creator Mods wont transfer over to DA: Awakening .

AFAIK, all appearance mods transferred to DAA no problems.
I might purchase DAA soon... it seems that mods are fixing all of the gameplay bugs brought on by patch 1.03.

I'll stick with my nice-girl-next-door mage.  I figure my RP story for her is that she is a kind person but doesn't believe/ doesn't want to believe that Blood Magic is inherently evil.  I have no idea what the mage origin is like, so I'll see where that path would lead me.  Probably more interesting to RP than a straight-up evil power-hungry mage.

I think her eyes might be too far apart. And I think there's a lot of color incongruency here... red hair and lips, black eyebrows, green eyeshadow and pupils...

I think green eyes go well with red hair and I used green eyeshadow to intensify the eyes

@ Mlai00   Thats good to know about the mods, Load off my shoulders. I have not played DA:A yet either, but once im done with ff13 I will dive right into it. As far as Mage looks go, I say go with what you feel. If we have learned anything from Morrigan, its that appearances can be misleading. Someone who looks evil may just have more problems than your typical character. Kind of like Wynn's discussion about Abominations, if they can retain their humanity. Thats what counts

Nice work! That's a rather good "dark" look.

Looking good, even though I must admit I'm not a big fan of gloving eyes.


Now here's what I've been working on. I gave up with the beards, the forced face reset just leaves so few options to work with. I wanted a young casteless look, a bit rugged by the life in Dust Town (scars on his left cheek & above left eye); a rough surface with a heart of gold inside.
Any thoughts, criticism? I haven't really decided yet if the face satisfies me or not...
