Your female dwarf looks really unusually. You perfectly described dwarven 'beauty' (their faces are so round, big noses, etc. ) even with these properities they could be pretty. I prefer gentler makeup (with the blonde hair) and smaller mouth. Still,  on the last picture she's sweet.

@Lucav5: She looks like human female to me but it doesn't mean that she is bad. Vice versa! She looks very good, for me she's one of the best elven female on the last pages. (and there is huge competition! May be I set her eyes, or nose which looks too long...down... Perhaps eyes are too above )) And about dark/green color combination - good job

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't have any real model for Keiko, I just went for a "general" asian look.
I agree Fleuretta's hairsyle is awesome, just the texture is a bit rough.

I'm aware that the whale is named Keiko, too, and I find a bit puzzling since as far as I know it's a female name and the whale is male. But I assure you I didn't get the name idea from the films..
I think the eyebrows are somehow affected by Denerim's very bright lightning, I guess I could darken them to counter it, but I dunno...

She's pretty, though the lightning in the picture is a bit poor. Perhaps you could post a pic in better lightning? The distance from her nose tip to the brow seems a bit long (i.e. the nose is a bit too down) in my opinion, but that's just me.

Hehe, I don't think this is a contest of any kind, at least anymore; and I recon the general consensus is that the characters don't even need to be "pretty", just good-looking is some way.


Here's another try at Asian Elf; this time I pursued a more Japanese look on purpose. I call her Yuki (another Japanese student girl from the past..).

Question on eyebrows: How do you crinkle the brows to make it look like the chara is frowning like that? Seen on Yuki and Keiko. I can use both toolset and/or CC.

@ Lucav5: Need another pic of your dark elf in better lighting and not so much zoom-distortion, before I can decide whether the eyes are too high or not.

@ Bright eyes: Yeah at first I thought it was kinda cool, but more and more I'm beginning to dislike them. They distract from the chara way too much.

@ Presence: Keiko's nosebridge is too narrow while the tip is too wide, so a frontal shot makes her nose look big when it really isn't. In contrast, Mochen's Asian chick's Asian nose is very proportional. Aagh I don't mean to compare LOL, but Mochen's is a good example. I can't tell if your Yuki suffers from the problem too; you didn't give us a full frontal of her face.

@ Lady Aly: LOL your white haired elf reminds me of a photo negative of Xena! xD

Here's a clearer pic of my human mage. Ah, I'm so proud of my 1st toolset effort! I already have the entire playthrough mapped out for her in my head LOL! But DAO always surprises me and deviates my characters from the playthroughs I had in mind before starting.



Her name will either be Emi Amelle or Amalthea Amelle... Amalthea because I listened to The Last Unicorn over and over while making her (that song has a lot of different covers...), and because it makes me want to inflict a tragic romance on her hee hee! I wanna cry at an ending too!

@LucaV5 Picture is a bit dark. I have the same problem as Presence, I think her nose is -- not right. But she is very pretty, though. And who says all must be perfect ? XD

@LadyAly: ty, was aiming for an unusual animalistic look, and thought that she's a char kinda like Jaheira from BG. Your mystic elf is interesting, though the pupils are a bit dead.



Also, meathook's asian girl Tamsin is great, nice facial expression.

Eyebrows: Select the wanted height with "brow up/down" in Brow section and tune shape with "eyebrow down/up" slider in Eyes section "(in toolset obviously).  Eye shape also has effect, so play around til you find a combination that pleases you.

Noses: I know what you mean, but that nose model was made on purpose. I know it doesn't match the general western beauty standards, but to be honest, that never was really important to me. Actually that kind of nose seems somehow "cute" to me. The feedback is appreciated, though.

i know this is off topic but any answers big or small will help. i have seen all these awesome toons people have made ( characters for Dragon age and all of them are amazing by the way... i would love to make my own but i can't get the tool ((( ) and i have noticed all the awesome outfits they have on. Are there any Male clothing/armor mods? Ladies are cool and all but i am a female that plays 99% male toons( lol no they are not 99% male but sometimes i feel they might be truth be told a few might be only 50 % XD).i have looked all over.I have seen hair mods and all that for ladies. I wish they worked for the men ^__^ but no male clothing mods. pointing in any random direction would help tons!! thank you in advance.

I have also tried to find a place to post this and i failed. Sorry in advance for the placement of this post.

Yuki didn't have a single model either, I used a number of Japanese ladies as inspiration for her. Obviously there are a lot of different "Asian noses"; Asia is home to more than half of the world's human population, after all.

@Presence: Yuki... You know, I have another story about Yuki on my mind, but I'm gonna to be silent... Such a self-restraint! I don't know.... She seems to by unfinnished or her make-up  is too light ... or she's just unsympathetic to me. Perhaps her mouth is too close (serried?) and she looks strict.

About Japanese look generally: They have a gentle supraciliary arch and with the toolset it's quite impossible to set forehead/eye brow options to these demands. Oh, it's possible but it looks bad.

@Mlai00: Oh yes! This is that 'famous' read head girl I heard about .... Is she a blood mage or not? I remeber that you had a dilemma about this. She's similar to my avatar... so it means...... that she's the best red haired woman ever!  .... Your picture makes me think about red haired person and their eye color, do they have a brown eyes? I always thought, that's about less pigment...?

I know I should let my face creations "mature" for a day or two before posting them here, so I'd have time to think them over and finish them with care... but I guess I'm getting impatient and wanted to actually contribute some faces today instead of just bla bla. I promise, I'll try to finish my next creation with more patience!
Oh, the light make-up thing, that's again just one of my own personal preferences. I like girls with little make-up, the natural kind of look, but I guess you can see that from my earlier lady faces, too.

Wonder how good faces I could make if my personal preferences weren't interfering all the time. *grumbling*
