@LadyAly You do better with the CC than I ever did, that takes it's own skill, actually now that I've figured out the toolset, I find the CC harder to get what I want. You should be proud, your characters are gorgeous and you're opinions/suggestions are always valuable.

I have two cutscenes in Ostagar that determine whether a character plays, or retires immediately. One when meeting morrigan (as you stand up from the chest and look suspicious) and the other during the joining. I'm happy to say, in no small part thanks to you guys...Lyrria, the Dalish mage has made the cut. I originally meant to romance Zev...but hot damn she looks good with Alistair...and she's probably too inocent for Zev anyhow...hehe

I always forget there's a prisoner there...hmmm might have to try that angle when I take my city elf through her test stage. I agree, I'd love to see more of these mods work with the CC without jumping through hoops. I'd love to just be able to use it with all the customizations I'd want, because what you see in CC is so much closer to what you see in game than toolset previews are.

Another survives, thought she'll get a fresh game...and be a warrior. Not sure why, since I'll still make her wear leather. Can't stand medium armor with the blousing legs, and most massive makes me twitch. But Thanks Caladhiel for the caged prisoner tip. I loved that angle!

rofl am I the only one here laughing my azz off at the thought of that poor prisoner getting slaughtered over and over so we can have a good camera angle picture lol



btw jess I think they are both stunning but of the two here I like the mage moor I think its the tattoo and blond hair that did it for me I like the other tattoo but I think it is popping to much cuz of the red hair maybe tone down the gold a bit just my opinion though

@Lady Jess, yeah I really like your 2 last entries, maybe the "big eyes" thin just works better on female elves than female humans, or maybe you actually did them a little smaller this time. It's a very fine line between "ugh, too big", and "aw, so cute". :]

Thanks:) She's meant to be a bit over the top. I made the tattoo that intensity, because  of what it is...a Phoenix, it should be fiery. And I swear I saved and reloaded so he didn't /really/ die...lol

. I really don't get the "big eye" thing, to be honest. Humanoid eyes are generally obvious, and clearly visible in color. The default sizes in the game take that away, especially elves. That was my biggest peeve when I started this game and saw my poor elven mage with her beady bulging eyeballs...lol. Look at Liz Taylor, Angelina Jolie, Brooke Shields, Brian Bloom, Charlize Theron, my own daughters and husband would anyone tell them their eyes were too big?...lol either way, I'm glad I got them right this time.

Well if that pic you posted a few pages back was your daughter, then she must be the "creation" of yours you must be the proudest of.
And her eyes certainly didn't look too big. But I don't know, I've found that trying to emulate real persons with the toolset tends not to work at all for me. I just toy with the sliders untl it 'feels right'.
Anyway, yes I like the two latest characters you posted.

Now, I didn't get much feedback from my staff dilemma (thanks Lady Jess for your opinion on it), but whoever posted the link with the Wings of Velvet stuff inadvertently helped me with my problem. That blue flame staff uses the same model as the dusk staff I had, but has a good blue flame effect. So far, I really dig it.

Ohh that does work nicely. I use it on my new circle mage, with the wings of velvet armor. I so wish there was a gold themed version of that set for my blonde glowy mage though. I'm corny and thought moon and sun mages might be fun.

What we really need to do instead is figure out some way to make a camera mod that works right. Rather than making workarounds. I'm sure there's a way. I'll try to figure it out.

maybe a camera studio type thing? be able to zoom in, pause, manipulate pose and such, etc.

that's probably a bit ambitious, though.

I'm guessing it is buried in this thread somewhere, probably multiple times, but where are you people getting those hairstyle and tattoo mods? I have the "More Hairstyles" mod from DragonAgeNexus, but I am seeing you guys use a lot of mods that I can't seem to find.

Ok, we all asked as dragon age fans, what if, what would happen to the world of ferelden if some of the major, or side players in the story roles was different?

I give the story of Eclare, Ser Cauthrien and Queen Anora.

Eclare, sister of Ser Cauthrien, at a young age, had the talent of magic, while Cauthrien was recruited by Loghain, after duncan recruited Eclare to the grey wardens, Cauthrien came to ostergar, with Loghain and the king, Loghain betrayed everyone, and left the wardens and the king for dead, Eclare only just survived, but was left with a scar on her face for life.

Cauthrien didn't know her sister was at ostergar, untill she was told back in denerim, outraged and didn't belive her sister was dead, told loghain she would never forgive him, and quit the army, to search for her lost sister, but a bigger scandal was about to happen, after learning about her husbands death, the queen lost control, unknown to all but trusted allys, Anora had a talent for magic, and tryed to keep it quiet, as if people knew, and her father, she would lose her throne (the king knew, but also knew what would happen if the public found out) Anora lost control and went in too a rage, infront of her father, and the secret was out, Loghain exlied her, and inprisoned or killed anyone who was in the room who saw it.

Anora hair colour change due to the incident, all three met up, and now travel to stop the blight, and Loghain.

I'm all for AU fanfic and such, but that backstory (?) is a little too wonky and out there to me. like, serendipity is pooing all over the place and deus ex machina is in full effect, types of things. seems like the circumstances are too perfect. *shrug*

These are kind of the "industry standard". Grab all of these, & then get the chargenmorphcfg.xml file from the special Bidelle's Make Up Studio download that allows for compatibility for all of these mods. Delete any other instances of chargenmorphcfg.xml in your override folder, & you should have a working product.

Tattoos & scars, check these out. They will only work in the toolset, however; & are a little hit & miss in terms of usability. But that's just me.

Pretty sure this covers nearly all of the resources most of the folks on here use. I think it covers everything I currently have installed.

I'd highly recommend a program such as DAModder or DAO ModManager. Personally I've only used the latter, but it looks like the former might have a better UI.

Meh, it's not perfect but its only way i could explain why i have Queen Anora and Leliana/Ser Cauthrien as companions, David Gaider i'm not
