Ah. Good eye. I never realized the pink makeup was on. (t1_mue_ro1) Will fix. Thanks for the tip!

One thing to note about red eyeshadow... I use it to accentuate the paleness of the character's face. It works!

not bad at all the new Zevran Petehog - but I'm in love to the darkkami Zev

Since this is the Prettiest Char Contest Threat ( lol )

Alright, some constructive critisism now when you have uploaded other pics.
The whole face looks so... dull? I guess that eye-thing made it worse. Skintone doesn't fit him at all either. Overall just not outstanding enough.

Why do you feel like you need another version? What is it you want to accomplish with the Zev-morph? I think you have to be careful with your designs now, or else you'll just tweak them TOO much and they'll lose their unique thing.

Being an artist who works with a bunch of different types of visual art, I know how it's easy to overdo stuff. For example: I have ruined more paintings than I have finished, simply because I just had to change "just a little bit more". After just a little while, the painings had lost their "thing" and they all came out boring and too much alike each other.
This is where I see you now. As a good artist who has made some cool and amazing work, but is starting to go a little too far with some of them. Don't take this as critisism to your work or your person. Just stop and think about it for a second. If you don't agree then, by all means, continue with whatever you wish to do :)

@LadyAly

Yeah, I really liked that Darkkami one. But I think 10 should offer something different. We'll see.

I never quit. I keep trying to make something better.

@Viruscat

I think you have good intentions but I don't think the same way as you do.

Noted. Then I hope you at least try to see what I mean in the future sometime, because frankly - your chars are starting to look like lifeless dolls, and very much alike each other imho :/

Pete, don't let the Vcat get to you.

Just keep doing what you are doing.

I was mostly puzzled to see Zevran get full Michael Jackson treatment. He was already made lighter in the previous version by the looks of it, the new version of him is taking it even further making him plain white. Is there any point to this change? I mean, it's not like the game isn't full enough of the pastry boys as it is and by contrast the default Zevran stood out from the moment the player saw him in the first cutscene. By taking it away this effect is gone... well, just a thought.

Good feedback.  Very well. Here he is with his original skin. I also made the changes that Mochen recommended.

Hmm just a personal preference obviously but i like this one. My only beef with default Zevran was just the odd lip shape (for a guy), this one doesn't give me that impression even though seems to keep most of the features very close to original. I'd use him like that.

Out of curiosity is the nose made more narrow or is this just result of different lighting/angle? I can't quite put camera in a spot to get similar perspective in toolset without distorting the whole thing due to it getting too close.

Eh, I'm sorry for voicing my concern. I love the work you've done so far and I'd hate to see your morphs become soulless dolls. But nevermind me then. No need to be rude.

And whatever problem you have with me, i4gotmyid, please tell me by PM.

The nose is more narrow. The original had the "Alistair nose". I made some changes to take that out. Here's the original for reference.

Ahh thought so. I asked because --now this is mostly a theory, psychology-based and whatnot-- i'm figuring for people who like the current Zevran that nose shape can be one of the curiosities which make the character more endearing (if there's a person you think fondly of, you may over time develop attachment to visual aspects of them which aren't the 'pretty norm' and thus stand out)  So i'd maybe consider keeping an option which retains this trait, for these people who'd get weirded out seeing "their" Zevran get a nose job.

On the other hand this is mostly a theory and maybe actually no one would mind. Posted Image

I agree with you wholeheartedly. It's all about familiarity. This is why it is impossible to redesign Alistair correctly. Because by changing the features, you change the familiarity and hence it is no longer the same person..which effects the immersion of the game. Generally, the more you interact with a particular character, the more unwelcome change becomes. It's all about familiarity. I had this same problem when I redesigned Moira Brown for Fallout 3 Project Beauty. Everyone was so used to the way she looked and then when I changed her appearance, it was more welcome to "newcomers" of the game, rather than those who had already interacted with the character for an extended period of time.

I guess I'll add the dark Zevran as Lore Version 10.

@LadyAly

I gotta say that is one hot looking elf! I already commented about her before. But wow...great job Lady Aly! :happy:

Petehog I think the changes you made have improved the design for me, he looks more exotic now. I like it!

VirusCat I know what you mean about over tweaking designs, thankfully I haven't done it too often as I generally have a good idea of what I want to achieve. I also save my morphs regularly..so if I do go over the top, I can go back and start again.

All righty! Yeah, I like this one too. I should be giving this to the public pretty soon.

I also save my morphs and I dump them into my folder called "Dragon Age Clayset"

:wizard:

That way I can go back and revert changes.

Thanks again Petehog :) She looks in all play scenes beautiful, too.

As for your Zevran - well - this one looks pretty good. What strikes me is that he appears much more mysterious and dangerous now - But oh well, Darkkami Zev has this cheeky light-heartidly charming boy spirit. Dunno how I should say this in another way.

Still- this version is very close to lore and handsome, too

That latest version is a really good looking Zev... it definitely rivals Ymladdych's Zev. It definitely has that recognizable Petehog touch... but since I use no other Redesign Mod morphs for my party members, just one shouldn't be too bad. I like to mix and match.

Can anyone here offer a comment on my character (about 2 pages back, Elisa). ? Even a negative one would be better than nothing...

Thanks bro! I'm glad you like him.

I've been tinkering with so many versions of Zevran and I'm finally happy with this one. Tmp7044 and Mochen gave me some really great pointers to make it work.
