I'm currently tinkering with making some custom tattoos. It's not quite displaying correctly but I'm still learning and tinkering with it. I'm excited because I have a lot of designs and drawings I've made and it would be fun to make them into go into my own tattoo mods.

I love that your design is asymmetrical. I'm quite partial to the asymmetrical tattoo designs but the vanilla game only has the one as far as I know.

This astonishingly reminds me of my current character. I even happen to have a screen in a similar pose  (though  i cut it to match as much as it can)

However something bothered me and i just figured it out - the hair is different. Both are a long ponytail but they are not the same. And the expression. I always go for an arrogant face on my characters.

@Heals.like.Jesus

I can see some of the similarities between the two designs. The main difference though are the eyes. The eyes can totally can change the design of a character. Miette looks more serene. Whereas your character looks hardened. One could say that the top design would fit a Dalish concept and your design would fit a City elf design.

I find it very refreshing that everyone has a different take on female elves and everyone has a unique style.

=============================================================================

I went back and made some changes on the elfy I made before. I realized that my texture "greendark" had the white circle in the middle problem so I went back and fixed that. I should be releasing the fixed version in 7.2.

Huh? That is the direct oposite of what I think. The city elf look humbled by hardships of life and seem to be the more submissive kind, having spent their lives as second-classs citizens/slaves, while the dalish are fiercly proud, chauvinistic and view other races as savage, uncivilized,. ( thats hilarious, coming from people who live in the woods) inferior, thus it follows that they should be the ones with a stern-er face.

Well, I would say that the city elf rogue is hardened as compared to the Dalish. They are survivors and are living in tough situations. As a female or male elf city rogue, there is mention of your biological mother and her prowess in battle. A city elf relies more on "street smarts" and had to deal with much more problems than a Dalish elf. Each character within Dragon Age...whether intentional or not...seems to be symbolic of themes that exist today. People who live in tough times and in a world filled with crime aren't necessarily "submissive" but rather have had to discover other ways to cope and survive in dark times.

@ Old_wrinkle_ass: Okay, that is a really nice Alistair, and I'm usually very much against modding him. Excellent job. Also, would you mind posting a front view of your city elf?

@Old_wrinkle_ass: Yes, please keep up the stubble! We definitely need more stubble for male elves!!! I really like your design, it looks like Alistair gone elf :) A rogue, right? Suits him perfectly!

Btw, I giggled typing your name just now^^

@ Old_wrinkle_ass: I agree with Caladhiel on both counts: 1) Stubble + elf = awesome 2) Your screen name is giggle-inducing. Btw, is your Alistair available for download somewhere? Say Dragon Age Nexus or the like? If not, this must be remedied...immediately! :P

After a number of playthroughs, I really like my homemade Morrigan. It has to be one of the better morphs I've done.

I think this topic needs some love, so here goes:

@ Killer Wabbit: First, nice screen name ;) Second, would you mind including some in game screen shots of some your characters? It's a little hard to get a feel for someone's pc from the avatar thingies alone.

@ thr33niL: I like her sharp features - especially her nose, though it seems like it's maybe just a little too small (purely subjective input). Her color palette is also well done. She almost looks like she's part Asian. Overall an interesting and well executed take on Morrigan.

Well, here's my latest human girl design. The hair mod is tmp7704's latest "Tucked hair" mod.

I made this design in preparation for the new Leliana DLC by Bioware, "Leliana's song".

Another incredible creation, Petehog. While it's difficult to follow that I'd really like to get some feedback on improving this one:

I suppose I'm one of the late entries.

Anyway, this is Raonar Aeducan, Dwarf Noble. With all that trouble about facial reset each time a beard was added, it was a pain to make him. Took hours until I finally got the method down and managed to properly use the "click on the beard at the very end" trick. Used some tint and texture mods as you can see.

I really like the use of the white hair, Raonar, and the combination of the "flip up" hairstyle and the beard.

I noticed that, no matter what your character looks like in the game, the others, particularly Wynne, tells him/her that he/she is so young. I tried to make a dwarf that could really look as young as he is supposed to be but still have one of those fabulous beards that Bioware provided.

Well, there a couple things. First off, I need a side view and a front view of the character. I would need different lighting locations. One in Denerim, one in the Mage's tower, and one in the Kokari wilds. Yellow, white and blue lighting respectively.

Second of all, are you using the toolset or are you using the in-game character creator for the core of the design?

Third, how old are you looking to make your character? What age range are you aiming for?

Fourth of all, what personality is she? Cold, sweet, down-to-earth, serious, stern, light-hearted?

What class is she? What kind of person are you looking to make? Are you designing her after a particular character, person or archetype?Are you looking to make her an attractive woman or are  you looking to make her look like a real person...etc. I guess I need  more details.

Based on what you tell me, I can point you in the right direction so that your avatar will match the age, class, attractiveness,and personality that you are looking for.

Also, you will recieve a wider breadth of responses and feedback from others in the community in the "Character Showoff" thread. There you can recieve the opinions and feedback from others as well and they can guide you in the right direction.
