Spent some time today on creating a new library of light and vibrant eye color tints.
And while I was at it, I created a project and will share them with you once I have 'em ready and packaged.

Dumb question, but how are you guys getting these great closeup pictures of the characters?

The best way I've found is to have your character face the wall and then move as close to it as you can before putting the camera in front of your character's face makes them become transparent. Might be a better way, That's just what I do.

Or select another character, make him or her stand behind your character then rotate the camera.

Glad you like 'em, and I'm sorry to disappoint you.
But I didn't release any of my characters up till now and although I'm playing with the idea of creating a character / head morph package in the future there are no concrete plans to do so at the moment.

my first character (who you see as my avatar, I retrieved it from my bioware account).... although I have the 360 version so can't hit prtscr to take in-game pics.... looks ten times better in cutscenes, and her and leiliana go together... great, opposites attract... well except that they are both female LOL.

Too bad I can't take some in-game SS like some of you are posting so you could get a much clearer view.. although I suppose I could try to use a capture device like dazzle if need be.

Very cool characters in here people.... my first character's name is Luna (it means Moon in Italian and of course Latin).  btw that is the portrait pic I chose at the beginning of the game, it doesn't reflect current armor/clothing.

btw.. is there a way to take screen shots in-game for the 360? I know games like Halo 3 allow you to capture video and images, but I haven't even attempted to look for a feature like that in Dragon Age: Origins, if so it would be appreciated if someone could let me know how, so I can post much clearer images.

Hmm, I'd say these are my ingredients:

Lots of patience, lots of experimenting with different versions of the same face, having an original idea, not sticking with the original idea at all costs (e.g. Daelia was once supposed to be a well tanned brunette:blink:), reading a bit of theory on the subject, experience with a handfull of other character creators and often a tiny amount of luck.
