Like you guys already said, Kelly is love. I was devastated when she died on my first playthrough... I felt like I utterly failed the mission. I kept that endgame save, but I also reloaded an early savegame and managed to rescue her.

 I love Kelly to death.  She's the only woman on the Normandy who wants to be my galpal.  How can you hate her?  She's so sweet and loving and positive, compared to the rest of the crew of the AngstBoat. (All of whom I love, btw, that crazy bunch.)  I'm not interested in her as a love interest, but I damn well want her to be in ME3!  

Besides, if she's not in the next game, who will check my mail? Make my coffee?  Somehow I don't think Joker wants to be my man-secretary.

Kelly is exactly the type of girl who wouldn't care if you had an LI and moreover would probably want to have an open three way relationship anyway. Freaky!!!

Imagine you walk into the Commander's Quarters in ME 3...only to find Kelly sitting on the lap of Liara/Tali/Miranda/Jack!!!

Kelly is great! By far the best LI available to any gender Shepard. She does more for you than any other LI and is always cheerfull. No whining. No personality problems that are in your face all the time

And having to go for the collector base fast to save her is hardly a promblem. You do every mission you want. Do the IFF one. Then Legions loyalty mission. Then off we go and save Kelly!

That said, she was GeneSlurried in my first playthrough
And I didn't like the way she screamed when getting dragged into the elevator by that Preatorian

I agree, I greatly enjoy Kelly Chamber's cheerful demeanor.  Compare the interest and appreciation that Kelly displays “I always have time for you commander”, to the sorry I’m busy style comments we often receive from our other squad members.  That is the type of support I want from a LI.

Kelly is cool. When I first met her, I was like: "I can take care of my own business, thank you very much". But now I'm finding myself chatting with her every time I complete a mission. She's nice, has her own opinion about stuff and always likes talking to me. Yay.



Oh, and she's picky. One missed flirt in the beginning of the game: no dance for Shepard after the ending. Dammit!

Funny how her replies sometimes depend on Shepards alignment. I thought she would always say she liked bad boys after Thane is recruited. But now my male Shepard is paragon, she says she's more interested in nice guys.

I agree with someone from a previous post. I just finished my first play through...everyone lived..except Kelly.



I just can't stand to go back to that ship knowing the yeoman's spot is empty.

Kelly has 4 different responses to that, depending on Shepard's gender, alignment and previous interaction.

Shepard: Well, they do say some girls like bad boys.

If DudeShep and Renegade and flirting: "You know, that description could apply to you, too."
If DudeShep and Paragon and flirting: "Oh, I don't know. Nice guys are pretty good, too."
If DudeShep and not flirting: "That is a gross generalization! In my case it happens to be true, but still!"
If FemShep: "Girls like you, you mean?"

I didn't get all of those lines quite right, but that's the gist of it.

In the “What does Kasumi say about all the love interests?” thread BobbyTheI reports that one of Kasumi lines is:
"So, you and Kelly, huh? Sounds like you two had a nice date. I thought she was coming on to me at first. But maybe she was just being friendly to the new girl."

I take this as a positive sign that Kelly will likely be included in ME3. We can see the game has clearly recognizing and recorded the fact that Shepard had a date with Kelly. This should no longer be considered filler for those players seeking to preserve their original ME romance.
