Nope I cheated....Kaidan dumped me broke my poor Shepard's heart...So I went with Thane...would have loved to be with Garrus...He could have been my babies daddy (That's for Jeirt) lol.

I am tempted to play ME1 again to reject Liara there, so that I can say that I always wanted only Tali.



In any case, I'll be choosing Tali in ME3 again, that's for sure.

Sort of. I never romanced anyone in ME1. Told Liara I liked her, but we never had sex. I was saving myself for Tali. =D

I loved Liara, but 2 years is enough for her to move on apparently. She gave me a half-hearted kiss and blew me off. I thought I would never love again. Miranda kept trying to seduce me but she's too... ordinary. The cliche sexy assassin. I was prepared to give up, but then when I heard Tali was in trouble, and heard her journals, I was smitten. The events on the Flotilla sealed it for me. She's so strong yet so vulnerable.

My Shepard was always in love with Tali. He pursued Liara because Tali wasn't available. If the option had been given, he would have let Liara down easy before pursuing Tali.

Only play through I've done has been with my single Shep.  I don't really see any reason to play with my Shep that romanced Liara.  So I suppose in a sense you could say that I was.

Wonder if we'll be able to use a ME1 save to import into ME3 or if we need an ME2 import?  I played my Liara romance Shep up to Illium, left a bad taste in my mouth and don't really feel any desire to finish that game.

Personally I was/am planning on staying loyal and haven't made any 'moves'  yet but Tali gets more interesting and interesting while Liara was shockingly cold. 

I'll probably just 'try' to ignore any temptation and go for Tali on my second, probably Sentinel, playthrough. Tough, tough! (But I bet ME3 will have something interesting in store...)

The problem is not that she distrusts Cerberus, so do *I* (Shep) The problem is that after all we've seen and endured together. When she KNOWS what kind of man I am, she doesn't trust me.

I didn't choose anyone in the first game, so Bioware lumped me with Ashley. First time I realised this was when I saw her photo on Shepard's desk.
That'd teach me not to make do, first chance I get I'm going to romance someone. Knowing my luck If I don't choose Bioware willl have me cheating on Ashley with Jack.

Tali was always my first love...I just didn't think it possible and she didn't show much interest, so I hooked up with Ashley. Then, Ashley told me off, Kelly told me Tali liked me and Tali got all flustered and feverish...

I was loyal in the sense that I still eschewed a romance. All that matters is getting the mission done, there's no time for anything else let alone compromising the integrity of the mission with romantic distractions.

I went strait for Thane too. I had no problems getting over Kaiden because he really wasn't all to interesting anyway. I mean, yeah I felt kinda sad that we couldn't stay together, but he was pretty stern and unhappy about Shep being with Cerberus, so I guess it just had to move on. I've been excited to get with Thane ever since I've read through all of the Thane Love threads in the old ME forums. (WHERE ARE THEY NOW?! The lack of Thane Love threads makes me sad) He's just soooo much more interesting then Kaiden was, not to mention a total hottie!

Thane = my love forever, so I better be able to find a cure for him in the next installment!

I strayed from Liara. She blew me off but asked me to help her out? Seriously? Miranda 1st playthrough, then Suze, and then Tali. Thankfully we can import the same ME1 game save into seperate games.

Wow.....  she didn't blow you off.  There's a reason she's cold to you at first.  You just have to give her time, and ask the right questions at the right time.  She breaks down and tells you everything.  She's the only reason Shepard is still alive.

My femshep remained faithful, but it wasn't for lack of trying. First she was interested in Jack, who eventually blew her off, then Tali, who offered to join suits but never did, and finally Samara, who wasn't into romance at her age, I guess. It was only after I finished the first playthrough that I read the wiki and learned none were viable LI's for a female Shepard. Booo!

Yup! But that was easy because I had no romance in the first game.

Went for Tali instead. She's awesome. I loved her in the first game - taking her to Feros and other Geth'd places is awesome since she's so knowledgeable.

That's true. Of all the characters, Liara is the one that you can count on, wheather you romance her or not, she'll be a loyalist, more than Miranda IMO. People shouldn't be blaming her for changing a bit, I mean she went trough hell to just get Shepard back, and when she did she lost her friend and Shepard was left in the hands of Cerberus for two years. That'll change anyone. But as ratzerman said, she still loves you, and it hurt her deeply to have given Shepard to Cerberus, all b/c she "couldn't let you go".
The only, problem is that BioWare could have worked a bit more on her character, b/c there is a lot behind the scenes, but I guess that they are saving that for ME3

I wanted Tali in ME1 but couldn't have her.... and apparently Ashley thought me being nice to her meant I dug her. I didn't sleep with her, but apparently she thought we were a couple...

... so it wasn't hard for me to move on and get with my REAL love interest. Tali had to wait long enough...
