I had planned on staying loyal, but after talking to Liara and seeing how much she had changed, I didn't feel the need to anymore. Especially since she wanted revenge on the Shadow Broker because of some new guy she apparently had a thing for. She didn't seem to give two ****s that Shepard was alive and well.
She is the reason Shepard is alive and well.

That's why I hated her Character from the first one it never seemed real it seemed like a 13 year old girl crush.

Jacob was a Cerberus agent that I did not really trust, I go to talk to him on the Normandy just to get to know the crew and femShep gets a lean back seductive voice for almost any conversation you make with him being all **** like and it pissed me off so I pretty much said to myself, fine, this guy gets talked to when required and never any other time.
Thane was just creepy and ugly, decent enough character, but you cant be both creepy and ugly.
Garrus was tempting, particuarly since he was so cool, but that can be for another playthrough, my wife wants to see the Garrus romance badly anyways and I rush through the game the first playthrough so she doesnt see everything.
Over all it was easy to stay loyal to Liara
GuyShep will definately fall head over heels for Tali
Back to my Jacob hate, my wife was sitting next to me on the couch when I talked to him and asked me why I was romancing the ****, and I had to defensively state that the game was forcing Shep in to easy **** mode with him for some reason and that I planned to avoid him for the rest of the game, so it was not just me.

Shame on all the Liara doubters, though, she has done so much for Shepard, and while her transformation was offputting at first, I'm looking forward to seeing how her story unfolds in ME3. In fact, knowing what I know now makes me want to go back to ME1 so I can have a game where I romanced her.

My self-Paragon Shep let Ashley decide, after being blown off by her he pursued Miranda who's way more interesting anyways. Ashley will have to beg a bit or Miranda will have to leave for her to get another chance.

I just... I hope she's available in ME3 if she survives the mission... oh g'wan, Bioware, sure it'll be extra programming to make replacements if they're not available (oh hey... how cool would it be to recruit Kal'Reegar if Tali... if she... *sniff*) but you KNOW you want to!
My She-pard loves Garrus. She always has. Kaidan was just a substitute because she thought her beloved wasn't interested.
So... no.

I love Garrus, always have, but not in that way. I feel so bad about his face, and wish I can use the ship's medical upgrades to help him.
Jacob is interesting, and I find myself tempted, particularly while doing his side quest, but he's just not Kaidan.
But I'll definately make another char that falls for Thane. I will admit to being put off by his admission that he doesn't have much time left. Realistically, I'd never allow myself to get emotionally entangled with someone who tells me the moment he meets me that he's dying. But he does remain ever-so intriguing.
I think it all boils down to the fact that yes, it's been two years, and yes, it seems almost as if Kaidan is angry that I'm not dead anymore, but to my Shepard, it feels like it's been days since they were together. If ME1 wasn't just a fling, there's no way you'd be ready for something new.

The problem was, that Liara with her "the end justifies the means" attitude opposes my Shepard to much. Garrus was developing in the same direction but with the paragon-solution of his quest he recognized that he was wrong. This and that he is a very strong character even with his desperate background were my reasons to cheat on Liara.

But she doesn't count, so, yes, I was loyal to Liara.
