I don't think the ME2 LI's are all that better than the ME1 ones. I know that's what you've been told but I don't see it. The ME2 LI's are just there while the ME1 ones are not.

This damn game is going to not only force me to play through it like five times, but play through ME1 twice more as well, so I can have an Ashley and a bachelor save game.

Fortunatly I made a Shepard in ME1 who didn't have any LI. I figured he deserved to be with Tali

I really run with three shepards.

Renegade femshep never has an LI because she has to be nice and that won't work.

Paragon Shepard hooked up with Ashley and won't cheat because he's such a good guy.

Mostly renegade Shepard hooked up with Ashley and cheated on her with Miranda.

at least in the human culture the highest form of loyalty is marriage (many will disagree) and in many marriages there are the words "until death do you part". shepard died. he can now do whatever he damn well pleases and it's still being loyal lawl.

On Mass Effect 1 I was loyal to Ashley and on Mass Effect 2 I'll still be loyal to Ashley until the end of the game.

first character stayed loyal to Ashley, second character took advantage of there being a male more renegade than Kaiden, that would include most anything male, third character will romance Tali, that one's going for worst possible scenario that you can survive, hopefully Tali will survive with him

I hope it's not an issue in the 3rd game... Always wanted Tali, I just went with liara on default in the first one.

Since your LIs turn their back on you in this game I have no regrets finding a new honey. Though you can't blame them. If they hadn't moved on after two years over a one night stand then they need therapy.

Yes I was loyal. Ok, flrited with Kelly a bit and post-game she would come up to my room for a dance, but little teasing doesn't count. Liara's picture is standing upright and our romance shall reignite come Mass Effect 3!

Japp, I was loyal, thanks to the fact that I didn't date anyone it was very possible at that time that they will let date Tali, thus I just kept clean

nah i wasnt loya, didnt like how liara turn out in ME2 so i went for tali, plus tali was always my first choice anyways u just couldnt romance her in ME1.

I pretty much started a new ME1 playthrough just so I could not be in a relationship. But seeing how simply talking to Ash puts you in a relationship with her (maybe an accidental top-right when I should've done a bottom-right), I'm gonna let her die on Virmire. That leaves Shepard free to pursue Miranda, without feeling like an arse.

No idea curious to see what happens, I didn't stay loyal in any of my saves so far but that was mainly because I didn't like any of the ME1 LIs. Curious to see how it will pan out, I hope we aren't excessively punished if we decided to move on and the people who stayed loyal are rewarded.
