I found all of them a bit obnoxious, but went with "mystical" because it seemed the least grating. Still, such a let down after Jennifer Hale's incredible VA work in Mass Effect

I wasn't a huge fan of them either..I tried to pick the ones that most fit my character type..and a voice that matched the avatar.
In actuality it only plays a role in battle cries and stuff so it's not a huge deal.
I think I chose Wise, Violent and Mystical on my chars.

Haven't selected any for my others 'cause the voice always resets for me anyway, but my cocky male elf mage has a violent voice and my violent female elf mage has a cocky voice, simply because the actual voices fit best and personality-laden comments are few and far between anyway.

Indeed, honestly many of them were very samey, at least I found them to be. And yeah, Jennifer Hale's voice in ME makes me usually play a female Shepard over male.

I agree I didn't think the voice set where very varied or interesting.

I thought the voices were alright, but I agree with Jack. They aren't very varied. I liked that a few of them had accents though. I love accents.

I like the 'experienced' voice, but it also kinda depends on how you want to play with your char i guess

I didn't mind the voices, they were alright. For my avatar character I chose the cocky-one. Though it doesn't seem to save, everytime I edit the character I have to change the voice back.

I thought the male dwarf options were fantastic. I went with "Suave."

I'm not really happy with any of the female elf voices. I selected cocky for a rogue and Mystical for a Mage, but I was really hopeing for something more confident without being aggressive.
The male human voices I quite like.

I liked the male dwarf ones, though I think they're just lowered versions of the normal male voices.

I preferred the dwarven voice sets (both male and female) to the others. For the males, they were almost all quite high pitched voices - except for "experienced" for humans, which while good, is only fitting for an older character.
I do wonder why male elves/humans don't share voice sets, and similarly for female elves/humans/dwarves. Hopefully these restrictions can be modded out.

The human and elf female voices were pretty samey, although most of the other race/gender combinations had pretty good variety. Anyway, I usually just listened to the voices/lines while looking at the character's face to figure out which was the best fit.
If I couldn't make up my mind, I'd go with whatever type of lines best fit the character's imagined personality.

my favourite piece of speech is when the violent voice says "A little bit of backstabing never hurt anybody" which i thought was quite funny.

I would have liked a gruffer female voice. >.> No the 'violent' one doesn't cut it for me. Oh well.

Different for each character really. Honestly the voices kind of helped me to create several characters. I hope there is a good way to make your own at some point.

I'm happily content with the voices. Oh sure there could have been a bit more variety, but I'm glad there aren't loads of voices. Because then it would probably have been a pain to choose just one of them. I seriously have a hard time choosing as it is.

It depends on the character I'm making. I can say that, so far, I have used nearly all of them for my characters. I have reused Mystical and Violent the most, though.

I've made 11 so far and used 8 different voices, I believe. I can't really check and make sure because the CC loses your choice of voice if you go in to modify it. =[ There are a few voices that I will never use because they're too grating, but I only had a problem once or twice with choosing which voice. Only one of them isn' what I wanted them to be, but it's close enough.

Wise for my female human, cocky for my male human (always was one for snarky buggers)

I use the mystical on my elf mage, experienced on my human warrior and violent on my dwarf warrior

They weren't the best I've ever heard, but since they're only for combat/selection like older PC RPGs, it doesn't bother me much.
I can't remember them all, but I do know I used "Wise" for my Dalish ranger, and "Suave" for my human mage. I think I gave my female human noble the "Violent" one, because it amused me.
