So I try to convert a mmh to 3ds with the tool, but when I type fbxcmd Convert w_gsw_gs04a_0.mmh "%TEMP%\\w_gsw_gs04a_0.3ds, it does't work. I don't really know how to use command line tools, so can someone help me out here, give me a brief step by step exactly how to get it to convert? thank you.

Did you type EXACTLY what it says, EXACTLY without any changes or assumptions?

yes, this is how i typed it.
C:\\\\user\\\\Dann>fbxcmd Convert w_gsw_gs04a_0.mmh "%TEMP%\\\\w_gsw_gs04a_0.3ds"
it said fbxcmd is not a regonized command...
Does this mean I have to put the tool specifically somewhere? Or anywhere should be fine?

I don't know why the post show I have typed more than 1 lash, but I only have 1 typed in cmd, some bug with the forum or something,...

I usual cheat and drop the one file I'm converting into the folder with fbxcmd.exe, then navigate my command line to that folder (cd is the command to "change directories" to open or switch folders). Then I don't have to worry about getting the crazy paths right. Those wreak havoc on my poor little artist brain.

Just make sure you move the files back out again after or you'll make a real mess of that folder.

this is a good idea, but the problem is it doesn't recognize fbxcmd command?

did you make sure you put the PATH to fbxcmd directory in the windows search path? Instruction are in the readme with tapzn tools.

Perhaps use the GUI tools, then u can aviod command line stuff
