I found a web page that allows you to test your mouse by registering your mouse clicks. The mouse seemed to be working fine according to the site. I closed the Logitech Setpoint software, tried ME2 again and it works fine now. Hopefully it will stay working.

What: I can no longer aim and shoot. I can aim or shoot from the hip, but not aim and shoot at the same time. All weapons/ammo types and powers are affected.
When: The issue arose immediately after taking the Eclipse elevator from the Illium Commercial Spaceport to the Eclipse base. Time played up to that point: 25h.48m.
Where: The issue occurs everywhere since the elevator. I had hoped returning to the Normandy and moving to another location would fix the issue, but no. I just landed on Haestrom and the issue is still present.
Why: Unknown. The game worked perfectly for the 25h.48m I played up until taking that cursed elevator.
As you can imagine this bug makes playing the game near impossible. Please advise.
Troubleshooting I've already done:
* Reset key bindings to default (I never changed any bindings to begin with).
* Changed loadout on the Normandy to try other weapons.
* Loaded a save prior to landing on Illium and landed on Haestrom instead.
* Uninstalled/reinstalled the game. This leads me to believe the issue is somewhere in the files left behind if you choose to keep your save games.
* Deleted all files except saves located in: C:>Users>Mark>Documents>BioWare>Mass Effect 2. The only files I haven't uninstalled/reinstalled or deleted and let the game recreate are my save files. This leads me to believe the issue is in the save files themselves, although saves made prior to this issue occuring are affected as well which makes no sense.
* Started a new game. Since all game and save files I'm aware of have been eliminated as suspects I'm out of troubleshooting ideas.
