Just to let you know, there is a savegame editor.  Here is the link:

Mass Effect 2 Save Editor

To use it, go to the RAW tab of the program, load your saved game and open the +Player section.  There, you can edit your resources like Element Zero, change your credit amount, and ability points.  Also you canedit your teammate's stats as well (ability points and special ability level).

*NOTE* I do no take credit for creating this program.

Edit section [SFXGame.SFXPlayerSquadLoadoutData]



for example,

PlayerLoadoutInfo=(className=SFXPawn_PlayerAdept,Weaponclasses=(LoadoutWeapons_HeavyPistols,LoadoutWeapons_AutoPistols,LoadoutWeapons_HeavyWeapons))



defines what types of weapons adepts are able to use. Say, you want them to be able to use all weapons that soldiers are able to use. You look at the section for soldier class nearby and edit the adept section similarly:



PlayerLoadoutInfo=(className=SFXPawn_PlayerAdept,Weaponclasses=(LoadoutWeapons_AssaultRifles,LoadoutWeapons_Shotguns,LoadoutWeapons_HeavyPistols,LoadoutWeapons_SniperRifles,LoadoutWeapons_HeavyWeapons))



But keep in mind that you can't assign more than 5 total categories to a class. That means that you still can't create a class that is able to use all possible weapons in the game (heavy pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs, sniper rifles and heavy weapons). But, since assault rifles are in all ways better than SMGs, the soldier loadout covers all of it.

I just wanted to post a reply to thank you a thousand times over, OP. I stupidly tried to download an altered coalesced.ini to get all outfits unlocked, and suddenly I couldn't even get the game to start. But thanks to you - I didn't know notepad was so retarded, which is where my problem was - I was able to get the file fixed and I used your fixer on top of that, and bam. My game works, nothing lost, and outfits unlocked.

You saved me. <3 Thanks so much.

Don't know about that, but there surely was a save game editor somewhere and you could tweak the amount of resources you have there.

Who knows how to modify coalesced.ini Mass Effect 2?

I want to have all weapons all team squad.

I want to make it have on the Omega Legion mission or where a citadel or take Jack or primer.

I tried to call but nothing succeeds.

Ok I got the editor.. and I found all the FoV entries.. any one know what to set them to for a 5040x1050 res? to make it the same as the stock FoV at 1680x1050? (Or a little wider is fine) right now though it makes it look like my 3 screen set up is missing another 3 screens under it :P so that's no fun.....

I'm trying to mess around with Aegis DLC BIOWeapon.ini (more ammo for Incisor). But if I do, when I load the game I get the message "Unable to authorize the listed DLC. Please log into Cerberus Network with the account used to purchase DLC Kestrel Armor and Incisor"
I restore the original file and everything comes back to normal.

Do I need to rebuild the ini file or something ?
I've downloaded ME2IniFixer, but it seems meant only for Coalesced.ini...

Many thanks for this. It was a pain to have to keep End-Tasking ME2 whenever it locked up, and to have to keep trying until it felt like working. Tried it once, worked once, so 1/1 is pretty great :-D Thanks again for a great, useful upload!

I don't know off-hand...there may well be but I wouldn't be suprised if those values were hard-coded in. However, there's another way around it...which has the added benefit of removing the need for the tedious scanning minigame.

In your BIOInput.ini, find: [SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault]
Underneath it, enter as a new line: Bindings=( Name="NumPadTwo", Command="initpalladium 500000 | initiridium 500000 | initeezo 500000 | initplatinum 500000" )

Recompile coalesced.ini and use the OPs great program to fix it :D Now hitting 2 on your numpad in-game will give you 500k of each resource, use ad infinitum.

I have a keybind that also simply gives you all the tech upgrades and unlocks all weapons.

I removed the med bay scar-healing upgrade as it doesn't work. Also, while you'll get all the upgrades/weapons with the above keypress, they will all still appear in game as normal. It means that if you buy/find them, they'll all go up to 10/10 instead of 5/5. Also, all characters will continue to offer you their unique upgrade even though you have them all already. Doesn't stop them working though :ph34r:

hello everyone i just signed up for this thread.

I am able to offer some wanted assistance to everyone.

There is a program for editing coalesced. You can edit weapon stats and squad loadout

For those wanting to have unlimited resources and different characters at the first part of the game use gibbed save editor

to add squad members go under the tabs: plot > henchmen> flags (everything is basically self explanatory from there)

and if you want to add squad/paragon/regnegade points for yourself, it would be under: player> basic> bottom of the screen

and for squadmates it would under: raw>henchmen> (click the three periods for the pop out screen) NOTE: you can only add squad points for people who have been in your squad.

also mass effect 2 tweaks guide tells you what the confusing things in the coalesced all mean.

Can I get a little help?
I made the noob mistake of trying to edit the program with notepad. The game won't start up, I took out what I edited and got the file back to its original state, but the game still won't start.
I tried the ME2INIfixer, but it says that "This doesn't look like a valid Coalesced.ini.
Please make sure you edit it in editor that can set line breaks to Unix format" I have Notepad 2 installed, is there a way I can get my game back up and running again without losing my character or saves?
