Has anyone else noticed all there characters have very stained teeth, I know they are going for a realistic setting but could we not have a slider for tooth staining?

Lol look for one of the other couple dozen people complaining about the teeth. Heck, you guys should start a group.

Don't get me wrong I'd like the option for stained teeth, missing teeth, even maybe some wooden dentures or a gold tooth.
Oh and hairwise I'd like an afro please ;-)

Guess that was a blunt try to tell ya that similar threads have been there
However, the good thing is, that you likely won't see the teeth ingame at all. The character doesn't talk and all the growling and moaning during fights is too small to be seen

Dentistry is a forbidden art in Feralden.

If the NPC's have it too then we'll be seeing it all the time in cutscenes. I imagine it would be pretty distracting, especially in the romance scenesFulgrim88 wrote...

Anyways, there's a good chance it might just be the lighting in the character creator. Can't really see the creators thinking it would be a good idea to have everyone's teeth be brown.

Frankly, you should request it in the toolset forum, maybe some king modder will want to whiten the teeth model (for everyone). The ingame model is yellowish for sure...

And on the point of teeth, I agree white teeth should be normal. I've heard on the show 'Stuff Happens', that even ancient cultures could make primitive toothpaste, so yellow teeth should not be mandatory.

If that's the only detail, with bowstrings and dry lips, that this community will not like with the game, I'm sure Bioware will survive

Haven't you ever seen Terry Gilliam's Jabberwocky"? The creature was described as being so horribly fearsome it could "turn a man's teeth snow white overnight".

I didn't notice anything unusual about them, really. I don't expect them to look completely white in odd lighting when the character's mouth is only partially open. Not unless they were really blindingly white, and that would be a bit odd, I think.
So it doesn't really bother me. If they look extremely yellow in all situations and different lighting in the game, then I'll... well, probably still not really care.

I'd prefer them to be white, maybe because it's unusual, but I can't help but stare at them when my character open its mouth.
I can deal with it, however.

waaait... there's an option for teeth? Am I missing something?

No, no option. Just teeth.

It could be looking worse because of the lighting. So is there a lot of sugar in the world of Dragon age to rot people's teeth that much or are all our characters heavy smokers.
In elizabethan England rotten teeth where a status symbol because they meant you could afford a lot of sugar, the poor couldn't. Oh and people often brushed their teeth with their finger using salt.

I still prefer these teeth to sparkly white ones, for the game.

It's not realy disturbing even understandable in the case of the dwarven outcasts, and has to be some, yet unknown reason for the others too. Brushing teeth was probably also part of the lost elven culture. In some countries people used bark and herbs for this purpose so maybe the dalish elves, who wanders the wilderness will rediscover it. This would be a good quest

I liked the teeth, they fit the setting although some of the darkspawn do seem to have cleaner teeth.
Maybe there's a darkspawn dentist in the depths of the deep roads?

Meh, It doesnt have to be full on white like some mid life crisis plastic surgery mom. Just regular not completely stained teeth would be fine.
I dont want this turning into Oblivion where every 2nd character has the emo haircut pack and looks like a final fantasy character.

I doubt they use Colgate in Ferelden.
I'm sure there will be plenty of mods for cleaner teeth once the game arrives. Personally I have nothing against them, and I think your characters teeth won't be visible ingame very often. So you can always just imagine that they're white and sparkly.

I'm not asking for supermodel teeth, just teeth that look like they're cared for & healthy. No sane guy wants to lose their teeth before 30 & lose the ability to eat BBQ!
