I've been experiencing a bit of freezing and now I can't seem to even get past the section of the game where you try to rescue Tali by going through a Colossus. The screen essentially freezes and occasionally flickers. The sound stutters as it tries to play the sound extremely slowly. The only remedy is to restart. However, recently, the crashes come a few minutes into the game, making the game utterly unplayable for now.

In other variants of the crash, I experienced red artifacts on the screen. I have considered that it might be overheating, but the artifacting disappeared after I updated my video drivers. Now, it is the type of crash that I described above.

Any ideas? Is there any fixes that I can do? I have turned down the video settings and it crashed within 5 minutes of gameplay. It is driving me utterly insane. At this point, it's not so much a game so much as an interactive dialogue tree that crashes after a couple of minutes.
