We entered Orzammar, supported Harrowmont in the Proving, saw Oghren have his argument with the guard in the Diamond Quarter, dealt with the carta, received 'A Paragon of Her Kind' from Harrowmont and went into the Deep Roads.
We never had an opportunity to speak to Oghren, and he is not in the party, yet the other party members refer to him in conversation, and we can hear him speak when we meet Branka. But he's not there.
I'm led to understand that he should join the party before you're even able to enter the Deep Roads, so we're a bit lost.
Granted, neither of us were very anxious to have him, anyway, but his disembodied presence in the party is definitely immersion-breaking and reminiscent of the myriad of continuity bugs in Obsidian's Knights of the Old Republic II....
I suppose that I should add that we play on the same PC under the same account, patched to 1.02, and we are both City Elves, albeit one a male rogue and the other a female warrior.
