I found it enjoyable enough for the $5 price tag. I definitely liked being able to recover Duncan's weapons, and the armor is a nice touch as well (or will be when I decide to play through as a sword/shield warrior). For the story it was nice to tie up the loose ends left there, and even moreso if you bring along the members of your team that were there for it.
I don't really consider it being worth the wait they put us through to get it. I imagine they probably lost a fair bit of money from the people who simply lost interest waiting for them to release it.

Worth the 5 bucks ? Yes.
As good as Warden's Keep ? Not to me at least.

@ Suilebhain:
I think what you experienced is what some youngsters experience when they see their beloved dignified widow grandma shamelessly flirting with men at a church picnic.
Yeah, she's all gentle smiles and enlightened encouragement when talking to you, the PC. But guess what LOL, old woman's a cougar. It should be blatantly obvious -- this is an old woman who wants to go hang out at some muddy warcamp filled with boisterous unwashed men, rather than stay home with admiring students and work admin. At her age.
I like how DAO's characters can be multi-faceted.

I finished RoT last night in one fell swoop. Yeah, I wish it was a tad bit longer, but it was a fine romp. It took me just under 2 hours to thoroughly go through the entire thing. There's a lot of interesting loot. I still need to read my Codex updates. 5 bucks...aw, what the hell, it was fun!

The loot drops seem a bit odd. My Dwarflar is wearing the Knight Commander armour with a few other bits, and the Warden Commander set dropped at Tier 6. Og has Tier 7 Legion Plate. In RTO, the boots were Tier 7, but the rest was Tier 5. Likewise the swords and shields were all Tier 5, but the dagger was Tier 7. Bizarre. I'm at about level 14, for reference.
Anyway, not a stellar piece of DLC, a bit inconsistent (the Quartermaster is dead at his post despite not being there just before you go to the Tower, for example) but cheap enough that I'm not too fussed. Assuming I can get the upgrade bug/feature to work, Dwarflar now has a few fashion decisions to make..

It was alright. Nothing great, but fun for $5.

It depends a lot on what you want out of it, and on how much of a completest you are, and how much you're invested in the original game. I played it for the atmosphere, for information about Cailan and for the reactions of the three vocal companions. I thought it was worthwhile.
Three vocal companions? I went with Allistair, Morrigan, and Dog. Of them, Dog whined once and Allistair said a few short things. Morrigan said absolutely nothing, but gave me a -3 when I made my decision about the king's body. She didn't say why.
Does Wynne talk, perhaps? But who's the third? Nobody else was there, right?

I'm curious to find out what those of you honestly think of this new DLC. About how much time does it take to complete?
Was'nt to me. Less then thirty minutes with little story interaction. The items were crap, might be usefull to one of your npc's if you hadnt already finished the main plot.

Alistair, Wynne, and Secret Companion seem to be where most of the dialogue comes from. My first run I went with Alistair, Wynne, Dog and found there was a good amount of conversation. My second run I went with Morrigan, Sten, and Zev and it was almost dead quiet except for a few remarks Sten makes.
Still, I think it was worth it for that extra bit of content plus it contains the best sword, shield, and tanking boots in the game.

I have just finished the DLC Return to Ostagar and yes it's short.....But I walked everywhere and tried my best to stretch it out. I actually got about 3hours out of it that way!! I did enjoy it
as far as the $5 bucks go well I could
gripe about it but then again I did slap my 5'er down knowing it would be short.

I guess I took the wrong team -- Alistair, Morrigan, and Zev. Aside from a few throwaway comments from Alistair ("don't forget to search the bodies" was one, for god's sake) there was almost dead silence the entire time. I was vastly disappointed that we walked right past Duncan's tent without a single remark from Alistair. Any other area of the game could have been used for an hour of hacking through darkspawn -- I expected more emotion and character development from RTO and came away disappointed.
But worth $5? Oh, sure. And despite my disappointment, I'm grateful that BioWare continues to make these downloads for us.

I personally enjoyed it. It was short, just as Warden's Peak was, but still fun and added content to a fantastic game. It's only $5 for crying out loud people!

Not worth 5$ for me.
The $/hour ratio is not that great.
Didn't help doing RtO at level 21 too. Was far too easy beating level 10 and 13. Even the last encounter was a breeze.

5$ is a cheap lunch. So in that sense, it was worth it. I had just finished the game before I bought both Warden's Keep and this, so I did them both first thing after Lothering on the 2nd run. Didn't think to bring Wynne, will try that next time.
It did feel kind of slapped together though, which is odd given the delay. I especially didn'e like the artificial barriers forcing you to follow the linear path.
Oh well, I can't get enough of this game, so the more content the better.

I think replay is a big factor. Do you tend to replay RPGs a few times? If so $5 isn't much imo, with the DLC you'll add to the experience of each play through. But if you're the sort that plays an RPG once, maybe twice, then I don't think $5 for another hour of gameplay is great.

It's worth the five dollars if you want new armor and weapons. Does anyone know how to play the DLC after you've beaten the game? I have the quests in my log but I can't get to the DLC from my last save at the coronation.

I enjoyed it. The price was right and I really liked the banter between Wynne and Alistair. I felt that the cutscenes were really well done and emotionally powerful. But the best single thing for me were Cailan's letters - very cool stuff lorewise. And Maric's sword was a very nice throwback to the novels.

For DLC in this vein, i'm totally okay with short length because the price is relatively low and I know I'm going to do it again. It's a Bioware game, so I'm going to replay it. Now I have something a little extra to do during each replay. I feel the same way about Warden's Keep, Bring Down the Sky, and, to a lesser extent, Pinnacle Station.

I didn't like it. It was remarkably short, easy, and bland. No interesting enemies in my opinion, just more of the same darkspawn. No interesting loot. A couple of interesting codex. A bit of witty banter but not much.
Five bucks is just a cheeseburger or a hand of poker so I don't mind spending the money, but I would have been disappointed by RtO even if it had been released for free. A friend of mine has Dragon Age but not any of the downloadable content, I feel like I'm always talking about Shale or Wardens Keep, but with RtO there just wasn't much to say.
For the record: I would much rather pay $25 for interesting and in depth content than $5 for disappointing content.
That said, I love Dragon Age and will happily buy the next DLC, even though RtO was a "miss" in my opinion.
